The TACO Copywriting Framework  

Most AI content flops because it lacks one thing 👇 
YOU. 

ChatGPT isn’t always the problem.
The way you’re using it probably is.

Here are 5 common mistakes you might 
be making (and how to fix them):

🔻 Mistake 1: Relying Too Much on AI
You let ChatGPT decide what to say and how to say it.
✅ Add your POV.
 Start with your perspective. 
Ask AI to build on it, not for you.

🔻 Mistake 2: Speaking to Everyone
If your content is for everyone, it speaks to no one.
✅ Pick one ICP.
Talk to a specific person, solve their specific pain.

🔻 Mistake 3: Using AI Copy As-Is
AI is your intern, not your editor-in-chief.
If you’re publishing without rewriting, it shows.
✅ Edit like a human.

Being a creator is easier than ever.

I was reminded of this last week speaking at Because It’s Christmas, a lovely event hosted by Eldred Wee and Sabrina Princessa Wang.

During the panel on the Speaker–Creator Economy & AI, I had the privilege of sharing the stage with Cindi Wirawan 林幸妮 and De Zhong Chia.

Throughout the discussion, one common thread kept surfacing.

AI can amplify your voice. But it can’t tell you what you stand for.

Sabrina Princessa Wang posed this question,

"If you cloned yourself using AI, would your clone still be an authentic version of you?" 

I personally think that in a world of AI content, authenticity becomes your differentiator.
Your voice, perspectives and lived experiences. 

The other speaker, Vicky Vaswani also reminded us that selling is still about using your voice to build trust.

While Hitesh Ramchandani brought the room to a standstill with his personal journey of overcoming cerebral palsy.

2025 stretched me in ways I didn’t expect.

I’m ending this year deeply grateful, not just for the opportunities, but for the people.

and my answer surprised her. It’s NotebookLM.

I use it as a second brain.

When I step into a client niche, I usually start with zero context.

Years ago that meant months of reading, interviewing, and messy research
before a single line of copy could be written.

Now I upload everything into NotebookLM:
• YouTube explainers
• briefs and Google Docs
• eBooks and decks
• internal notes

Then I interrogate it.
I ask questions like a curious operator would.
I get tight summaries.
I let it draft briefing outlines for presentations.

Sometimes I even generate audio so I can learn by listening instead of staring at the screen.

This helps me to understand the industry in days, not months.

AI doesn’t replace the craft.
It compresses the time needed to craft.

Your brain has limited capacity. Mine certainly does.
So I’d rather spend that capacity on strategy -
on how to position an offer and translate real human problems into copy that moves pipeline.

That’s the real leverage.

If your team already uses ChatGPT but still feels stuck, noisy, or slow to create quality content, the bottleneck is rarely the tool.

It’s the process you wrap around it.

How to Craft a UX Case Study and Get Hired

2025 didn’t look the way I thought it would.

At the start of the year, I was still employed.
Still unsure how serious I was about career coaching.
Still playing between worlds.

January and February were quiet on the outside.
But I worked with new clients.
I hosted my first Design Leaders roundtable in Singapore.
I reached out to 100+ people, unsure who would say yes.

Thirteen did.

Around the same time, my family finally moved into our home.
After a year of living with my parents, that stability mattered more than I expected.

March was a pause.
A family cruise to Penang and Phuket.

In April, I hosted the first SameKind dinner.
Senior designers meeting in real life, not on Zoom.
No agenda. Just real talk with new friends.

That community quietly grew to hundreds across Singapore, the US, India, Taiwan, and Australia.

May went by fast.
Friends' weddings.
And our first gynae visit for our second child.

June slowed down.
July cracked things open.

I went back for National Service.
I left a job that drained me.
A manager who kept changing the rules.
I felt anxious. Unsteady. Questioning myself.

But I also ran a LinkedIn Live with Christopher Nguyen that month.
People showed up. learned, and moved forward.

Made my heart full.

August was my first full month running my career coaching business, Career Creators.
No safety net.
I met a client in real life and saw the impact up close.
I had honest coffee chats with 2 design leaders.

September was the hardest decision.
I was deep into interviews for a senior leadership role.
A good one.

And I walked away.

I chose to give myself one full year to build what I believed in.

October was about sharpening.
Working with a new coach.
Refining my frameworks.

November was quiet on the surface.
But we completed our third investment property in the UK.
Progress doesn’t always post.

December changed everything.

I ran my first solo LinkedIn Live.
I did my first real sales calls.
And a week before Christmas, we welcomed our second son.

That moment reset my timeline.

2025 wasn’t about growth charts or big launches.
It was about choosing alignment when no one was watching.
Building before being validated.
Learning what kind of work is worth my time.

Before closing the year, here are the 5 rules 2025 etched into me:

→ Time with my kids is not negotiable
These years don’t come back. This isn’t a sacrifice. It’s a pause I chose on purpose.

→ Alignment beats impressive titles
A role that doesn’t fit your life still costs too much.

→ Your job is to find your gift and share it
When you share your gift, you help others find theirs too.

→ Saying no is a form of leadership
You’re not a passenger. You’re the driver.

→ Action creates clarity, not thinking
Overthinking adds complexity. Action cuts through it.

As I step into 2026, I’m choosing less, not more.
Simplicity over complication.
Intention over intensity.
