Open Robotics

At Open Robotics, I was the "ROS Boss" of the Humble (LTS) release of ROS 2. This involved extensive collaboration with various stakeholders and the development of new infrastructure to streamline the release process.

To address a need in the testing process, I designed and implemented a Test Case Manager tool in Typescript. This tool automates the creation of test cases for different platform permutations and has been employed in several key releases, including ROS 2 Humble, ROS 2 Iron, and Gazebo Garden.

In addition to these responsibilities, I worked on various other projects that required a wide range of technical skills. These included debugging multithreaded executor issues, designing C++ client library features for Nvidia, contributing to NASA's VIPER mission, and integrating different UAV frameworks under a common API.

Robohub

As the Podcast Director at Robohub, I managed an international team and conducted over 100 interviews with key figures in the robotics field. The variety of our interviewees, from academics to industry leaders, allowed us to present a comprehensive view of the sector.

I led the team in expanding our podcast's monthly listenership from 2k to 120k and secured $20k in academic sponsorships. This growth and financial support helped to sustain our operations and extend our reach.

During my tenure, we produced and released 160 podcast episodes. This consistent output, combined with our increased listenership and financial support, illustrates my focus on steady growth and commitment to sharing knowledge in the robotics community.

Co-founded and built a multi-national Tech and Operations team, based in Singapore and India. Besides Technology, co-led company’s fundraising, hiring, launch and B2B sales operations. 

Led the technology team to build remote Intervention capabilities for the robots over the web. Led the agent side and client side Robot operations design for Web platform, and desktop-based distributions. 

Worked alongside Academic and Research institutes, including ROS-Industrial and Open Robotics, to lead Cognicept's flagship open source contribution to the robotics Community : Error Resolution Diagnoser/Error Classification Table - A toolset/protocol to diagnose and monitor robot errors, warnings and successful events over the web securely. 

Engaged with Robot manufacturers, and RobotOps partners in APAC and US to build robot agnostic capabilites at Cognicept, and to provide these robots with observability and control over the web.

Attonics Systems Pte Ltd

I worked as software designer and developer at Attonics Systems. Designed the software on the next generation small rugged visible and infrared spectrometers for the past five years, and I focus, among other things, on the following : 

- Design and develop scientific real-time,  low latency and high throughput softwares. 
- Design the SoC softwares with communication and signal processing capabilities. 
- Design of iOS app for iPhone and iPads. 
- Design of the Database Handling systems using Python and SQL. 
- Design the next generation software handling systems for commercially available products. 
List of Softwares: 

Visible Spec Software : Created and Managing our native desktop real-time software for Mac and Windows to run the image acquisition, signal processing algorithms and intuitive and interactive visual displays. 
Visible Spec Mobile: Created the real time mobile version that syncs with Visavis via Bluetooth and WIFI, and works as an analyser software, with multiple displays. Created for iOS devices as of now. 

IR Spec Software: Created and Managing the software for Infrared spectrometer, which is similar in architecture, but different in processing algorithms. Processes 100 frames per seconds.

Designed/Implemented/Deployed Attonics Software for Attonics FTIR Spectrometer, with full IR Camera control, real-time spectral analysis, and data broadcasting. 
Designed/Implemented/Deployed the Attonics iPhone Application  for real-time spectral analysis on the iPhone and iPad using Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Research Associate

I love building enduring and impactful products. I started my career as the solo software engineer in the synchrotron lab, where I delivered the software suite for our proprietary MIR, and Vis Spectrometer solutions. I learnt the power of compounding and building backwards from customer needs during the 6 year journey. 

Later, I co-founded a robotics startup in Singapore, leading the tech team to develop a post-deployment remote operations and incident management tool powered by our Human-in-the-Loop framework. Our solution slashed robot downtime by 60x for our clients.

Since Jan 24, I'm a Sr Product Manager - Technical at Amazon, where I'm currently working on solving for scalable deployment of robotics solutions.
