It’s About Not Putting Your Head in the Sand.
One line in this conversation stopped me cold.

Jamie Dimon doesn’t dramatize AI.
He doesn’t soften it either.
He says it plainly:
“Don’t put your head in the sand.”
That sentence alone is a career warning.

Because when asked whether AI will wipe out jobs, he doesn’t hedge:
“Will it eliminate jobs? Yes.
 Will it change jobs? Yes.
 Will it add some jobs? Probably.”

This isn’t panic.
This is realism.

And then comes the line every professional should sit with:
“You can hope for the world you want, but you’re going to get the world you got.”

Hope is not an employability strategy.
What matters now is how fast change happens, and whether people are ready for it.

Dimon makes a critical distinction most career conversations miss:
The danger isn’t AI itself — it’s speed without preparation.
“If it goes too fast for society… that’s where government and business need to step in together.”

Retraining.
Relocation.
Income support.
Phasing change instead of detonating it.

His example is blunt:
“You can’t lay off two million truckers tomorrow.
 You phase it in. You retrain.”

Now zoom out and make this personal.
This is no longer just a policy issue.
It’s a career design issue.

Because a few minutes later, he’s asked the question everyone avoids:
“In five years’ time, will JP Morgan have fewer employees than it has now?”

His answer:
“My guess is there’ll be fewer employees.”
Not no employees.
Fewer.

Which means employability is shifting from:
role ownership → value ownership
job security → skill mobility
experience alone → adaptable relevance

AI won’t replace professionals.
It will replace professionals who can’t clearly explain why they still matter.

Career longevity now belongs to those who:
Reposition early
Learn continuously
And stop waiting for certainty before acting

Because as Dimon puts it:
“You’re not going to slow it down.”

The question is not if your work changes.
It’s whether you change before the market decides for you.

To the younger version of me who apologized before speaking.

Confession: I used to struggle with self-doubt early in my career.

But I had to make my dad proud.

I remember apologizing five times in a single meeting 
before I even made my point.

"Sorry, can I just add something?"
"Sorry, this might be obvious, but…"
"Sorry to interrupt…"

At the same time, I shortened my name.
Muted my wardrobe.
Softened my language.

I thought this was being "strategic."
Professional.
Easy to work with.

It wasn't.
It was self-erasure.
I was slowly editing myself.

The shift didn't happen overnight
but when I stopped apologizing for existing, 
reclaimed my full name, and showed up as myself, things started shifting.

Here's the irony of this moment:
AI can now replicate "professional communication".

Polished. 
Correct. 
Safe.

But it can't replicate you.
Not your lived experience.
Not your cultural perspective.

Not the weight and meaning carried in your name or your voice.
The very things many women were taught to hide are the only things technology can't copy.

We've spent generations teaching women to shrink.
Now we've built tools that can amplify anyone's voice.

And don't get me wrong. I use AI all the time. 
But just know AI is effective if you know how to use it.
Only if you feed the tech YOUR voice, not someone else's template.

Because when we stay silent or invisible

We surrender space 
We surrender our needs 
We surrender our voices.

And when you stop apologizing
reclaim your name, and show up fully?

You lead better.
You sell better.
You get paid for who you really are.

I used to hide every struggle behind a smile.
Burnout? "I'm fine."
Stress? "Just busy building."
No boundaries? "I can handle it all."

That wasn't mental strength.
That was a strategy that doesn't scale.

Here's what I learned:

Mental strength isn't:

X Saying yes to everything to prove your worth
X Handling stress alone because "strong people don't need help"
X Pushing through burnout like it's a badge of honor
X Pretending you don't have limits

It's these things instead:

1/ Set boundaries and call it business strategy, not selfishness
2/ Recognize burnout as data, not failure
3/ Ask for help before you're drowning
4/ Say no to preserve your yes for what's worth your time
5/ Schedule rest like you schedule meetings
6/ Acknowledge your struggles and work through them systematically
7/ Protect your peace like you protect your profits
8/ Build support systems instead of trying to going it alone
9/ Know being human doesn't make you a weak entrepreneur
10/ Use boundaries to create space for your best work
11/ Choose authenticity over performing "having it all together"
12/ Treat your mental health like a business asset to maintain

Choose what serves your business and your life.

Admiral William McRaven said it best in a commencement speech that has been watched over 100 million times.

It comes down to one simple idea:

Make your bed.

1/ Start with one finished task
Before email.

Formal, estructurado, impecable, pero distante.

Hasta que entendí:
LinkedIn no premia la perfección.

Este es el "mapeo" que uso con mis clientes:

1/ Posicionamiento claro:
 ¿A quién ayudas y por qué deberían escucharte?

2/ Historia personal
Tu “About” no es tu CV.
Es tu oportunidad de mostrar quién eres y por qué haces lo que haces.

3/ Prueba visible de impacto: 
clientes, resultados, medios, proyectos. 
Todo cuenta.

4/ Llamado a la acción (CTA) tu mensaje tiene que conectar hasta la última oración.

Si tu perfil no genera entrevistas, alianzas o clientes,
es porque necesitas recalibrar tu marca personal y mensaje.

Y eso tiene arreglo.

Si sientes que tu perfil te mantiene estancado, si recibes rechazo tras rechazo, escríbeme "MARCA" al DM y te explico dónde está el bloqueo.
