Most people ignore “feeling invisible at work.”

They think: “It’s fine. I’m still getting my paycheck.”

But in 6 months, that turns into:

	•	Being passed over for promotions
	•	Being “too expensive” during restructuring
	•	Being eliminated because “no one knows what you do”

Are you ignoring it?

Because the cost of staying invisible is higher than the cost of building visibility.


When was the last time someone outside your company asked for your expertise?

5 signs your current career strategy is a ticking time bomb:

	1.	You haven’t updated your LinkedIn in 6+ months

It’s About Not Putting Your Head in the Sand.
One line in this conversation stopped me cold.

Jamie Dimon doesn’t dramatize AI.
He doesn’t soften it either.
He says it plainly:
“Don’t put your head in the sand.”
That sentence alone is a career warning.

Because when asked whether AI will wipe out jobs, he doesn’t hedge:
“Will it eliminate jobs? Yes.
 Will it change jobs? Yes.
 Will it add some jobs? Probably.”

This isn’t panic.
This is realism.

And then comes the line every professional should sit with:
“You can hope for the world you want, but you’re going to get the world you got.”

Hope is not an employability strategy.
What matters now is how fast change happens, and whether people are ready for it.

Dimon makes a critical distinction most career conversations miss:
The danger isn’t AI itself — it’s speed without preparation.
“If it goes too fast for society… that’s where government and business need to step in together.”

Retraining.
Relocation.
Income support.
Phasing change instead of detonating it.

His example is blunt:
“You can’t lay off two million truckers tomorrow.
 You phase it in. You retrain.”

Now zoom out and make this personal.
This is no longer just a policy issue.
It’s a career design issue.

Because a few minutes later, he’s asked the question everyone avoids:
“In five years’ time, will JP Morgan have fewer employees than it has now?”

His answer:
“My guess is there’ll be fewer employees.”
Not no employees.
Fewer.

Which means employability is shifting from:
role ownership → value ownership
job security → skill mobility
experience alone → adaptable relevance

AI won’t replace professionals.
It will replace professionals who can’t clearly explain why they still matter.

Career longevity now belongs to those who:
Reposition early
Learn continuously
And stop waiting for certainty before acting

Because as Dimon puts it:
“You’re not going to slow it down.”

The question is not if your work changes.
It’s whether you change before the market decides for you.

It’s 1:00am, and I realized something uncomfortable.

I’ve been talking a lot about LinkedIn, coaching, and income goals.

But I lost the plot.

Running a coaching business on LinkedIn didn’t just give me income; it saved my life. 

Before things worked, I wasn’t comfortable.

- I was fighting day-to-day.
- Low money.
- Huge levels of uncertainty.

I put a ton of pressure on myself to make something work fast.

Truthfully, I was only failing because I had no structure. 

My effort was there. 

What changed my life wasn’t belief or manifestation.

It was doing hard, uncomfortable things consistently:

- Investing when it felt risky
- Posting when it felt cringe
- Following through regardless of my emotions 

Yet, it was precisely those decisions that saved my business/life.

Lately, I’ve been thinking about how “quiet” my life has become. 

Not empty,

But just far more under control. 

My calendar isn’t packed anymore.

My mornings aren’t rushed.

My workdays have structure.

I know exactly what I need to do in my business.  

I know when I work out.

I know when I rest.

That didn’t come from working more hours.

It came from building a business that gives me freedom.

This is what I value now:

• Clear work blocks
• Fewer decisions
• Predictable income
• Time to think
• Time to train
• Time to live

To me, this is the real win of a coaching business.

The ability to design your days instead of reacting to them.

Once you experience that, it’s hard to want anything else.

In 2017, I almost gave up on my business entirely.

I went 3 months without a single client.

It messed with my head.

I remember sitting in my car thinking:
“I’m doing everything I’m supposed to… why isn’t this working?”

I was so confused & stressed. 

The next week, I put all my faith into a business coach (Sam Ovens).

I even took out a line of credit to do it.

Within the first week, one thing became painfully clear:

•⁠ ⁠My business wasn’t failing because I wasn’t trying hard enough.
•⁠ ⁠It was failing because I was doing the wrong activities.

No amount of extra effort was going to fix that.

I remember on the first group call, he gave me a short list of things to focus on and said:
“Do only this. Ignore everything else.”

Seven days later, I landed a $2,500 client.

That moment changed how I see business forever.

Fast forward to today, and I see the same thing happening on LinkedIn.

People are posting more than ever.

Trying harder than ever.
 And still not getting clients.

It’s not effort.
It’s that the platform rewards the right actions, not more actions.

The job market right now is an absolute bloodbath.

Smart people are getting laid off.
People are applying for positions they are overqualified for. 

It’s soul sucking.

Maybe I’m biased, but here’s what I believe,

The most reliable way to regain control right now is to build a coaching business properly.

•⁠ ⁠You can replace your corporate income relatively quickly 
•⁠ ⁠You give yourself time freedom, location freedom, financial freedom
•⁠ ⁠You never have to take orders from someone again
•⁠ ⁠You help people (your clients)

This only becomes a reality if you do things right. 

Aka have a real system in place to bring in clients consistently and take care of them.

Otherwise,

It will be more soul crushing than a standard 9-5. 

To make this work,

You need 4 things working harmoniously together:

•⁠ ⁠Your LinkedIn Profile
•⁠ ⁠Your content
•⁠ ⁠Your client acquisition funnel
•⁠ ⁠Your conversion process 

^ Most coaches are missing at least one of these 

And if even one of these is off, your buyers can never find you on LinkedIn.  

Oppositely, 

Once you have those locked in, 

Buyers will find you.

The LinkedIn algorithms will show your buyers to you. 

For that reason,

The LinkedIn algorithms have made a huge update in 2026.

Last year,

It was the introduction of AI.
