Social Prescribing Link Worker in Brackley and Towcester PCN, which involved working across four GP practices. My main focus of the role was surrounding health coaching with a particular focus towards lifestyle behaviour change and obesity. The aim of my role was to provide and prescribe the appropriate support for patients to facilitate positive lifestyle behaviour change by utilising skills such as signposting, motivational interviewing and health coaching. I was also responsible for my own administration by writing notes using clinical systems to upload to the patients record, arranging patient appointments and monitoring referral data.

MoreLife BedsMK deliver evidence-based weight management programmes across the local community to adults and families. Being a subsidiary of Leeds Beckett University there's a strong research-based approach. My role involved delivering this content through fun activities and games to the children as part of the family service through both community and school programmes as well as delivering to whole-families. I also conducted teacher training on obesity and the topic of weight, alongside leading adult weight management programmes.

As a dedicated PhD candidate at the Institute for Health Research, University of Bedfordshire, I specialise in intervention design, implementation evaluation and health behaviour change strategies that have an impact. Utilising my experience of intervention development, behaviour change strategies and mixed-methods research, I aim to enhance the health outcomes of behaviour change interventions. I also have experience in lecturing and one-to-one support, guiding undergraduate and postgraduate students in applied health psychology, public health and research methods. 

Beyond academia I serve as a consultant in public health, developing training and interventions that empower frontline health professionals to support the people they work with to have a positive impact on their health and well-being. 

With a history of various health- related roles including health and well-being coach, social prescribing link worker, weight management practitioner and personal trainer, I bring a holistic and person-centred approach to supporting others. My expertise spans public engagement, grant writing, data analysis and stakeholder engagement, enabling me to work collaboratively across a multitude of sectors.
