You've scrolled this far down so you're probably curious to know who I am, or just really bored. Here's a bio I wrote, with my own two hands, using the first person.  

I've worn many labels throughout my career: marketer, copywriter, manager, advertiser, funnel hacker, designer, community organizer, and even leader. I've worn them all with pride and responsibility.

I've moved through different industries and mediums, different team sizes and job titles, different sales strategies and customer profiles, B2C, B2B, C2C, C2B, B2C2B...

And while I suppose it doesn't bode well with your typical "niching-down" advice, the one thing that I do specialize in, is doing things that bring me joy. We spend a third of our awake adult life at work, might as well enjoy it. I certainly do.

Aside from the list you see below, I'm currently testing my love for words by doing creative non-fiction writing and training for an ironman in 2024.

Research and development of proof of concept prototype for a new tool that enables a digital product, which has a complex set of options, to be configured.

This project comprised 3 phases; research, definition, and development of a proof of concept. I worked with the client (CEO) to develop the workflows for defining and managing this digital product.

The research phase involved understanding the product being produced, the data being handled, and the workflows required. The Definition phase involved the design of workflows, stories, acceptance criteria, journeys, and wireframes. The outputs of the definition phase informed the development of a fully functional proof of concept which is being trialled in a real working environment.

B2B Fintech product/service

Brands2Life

Development of an all-new digital presence for a provider of online training courses. Working with stakeholders to create an updated website that supports new business goals.

During this, quick-fire project, which comprised discovery, definition, and delivery sprints, I conducted an audit of the website through the lens of business and customer needs, identifying broken journeys and content gaps. Based on the research new IA, journeys, content & copy recommendations, and wireframes were developed.

UX for B2B & B2C sales website for online training courses

Development of new onboarding journeys to match the latest business model, and mesh with typical HR department workflows.

This quick-fire project comprised three stages. A workshop with the client (CEO) clarified the new requirements and how the journeys needed to change to incorporate them. Draft user flows were developed and played back to the client and development team. Clickable wireframe journeys incorporated feedback from the playback, and the addition of copy to support users during their journey.

B2B & B2C onboarding journeys for employee benefits company

Development of a proof of concept for a bicycle parking app, working throughout with the client (CEO). Firstly, researching and developing an initial concept. Subsequently, collaborating with the design agency and developers to develop the product and product strategy. Work also included the physical parking experience and brand website.

Research of the end-to-end customer experience for a national pub, restaurant, and hotel brand, encapsulating the findings in 3 journey maps.

As UX lead, I was responsible for heuristic and competitor research of websites and apps. As a researcher, I conducted interviews, focus groups and site visits, catalogued and synthesised the findings into journey maps and supporting documentation.

The insights provided the foundations for the development of ‘how might we’s' and future state journeys.
