I’m going to say something that’s wildly counterintuitive to what I do for a living, but I’m saying it anyway because someone has to stop feeding people delusions.

Hiring a ghostwriter won’t fix a broken founder.

And trust me, that sentence hurts my own profession more than it hurts anyone reading it.
But I’ve worked with enough founders, coaches, and consultants to see the truth behind the scenes.

The real problem is never the writing.
It’s never the content calendar or posting consistency.
It’s the person behind it.

If you don’t have clarity on your offer, there’s no writer on the planet who can invent conviction for you.
If you don’t know why your work matters, no amount of storytelling can give you a backbone.
If you’re confused about who you serve, your posts will always feel like they’re shouting into the wrong room.

People think ghostwriters are magicians.
Like we take a fuzzy, unformed identity and somehow sculpt it into a thought leader with a few clever lines and a spicy hook.
But that only works when you, the founder, have actually done the inner work.
The healing.
The clarity.
The emotional clean-up.
The brutally honest self-reflection that most people avoid because it’s uncomfortable and humbling as hell.

I’ve seen founders blame content for everything.
“We’re not getting leads because the posts aren’t landing.”
“We need a new angle.”
“We need more storytelling.”

No, you need honesty.
You need coherence.
You need to stop outsourcing your voice before you’ve even figured out what it sounds like.

A ghostwriter amplifies what’s already alive inside you.
If there’s nothing there, we’re amplifying noise.
If you’re scattered, we’re publishing confusion.
If you’re masking insecurity with branding, we’re turning that mask into a weekly newsletter.

That’s why the strongest content always comes from founders who actually know who the hell they are.
Who’ve done the inner work, lived through something real, and aren’t trying to sound smart or profound or impressive.
They’re just grounded.

And grounded founders are a dream to write for because they already have a message worth amplifying.

So yes, it’s weird for someone who writes content for a living to tell you this.
But I’d rather say the uncomfortable truth than watch another business owner throw money at writers hoping it’ll fix the emptiness they refuse to face.

If you want content that converts, start with the thing most people avoid.
Start with yourself.

I had a call with a Forbes council member and Fortune 50 leader yesterday, and the wildest part wasn’t his title, it was how a man with that much authority could still sit there with the kind of curiosity most people lose by 30.

We were easily a generation apart.

And yet the man showed up with a mind that wasn’t clinging to “how things used to be” the way so many senior leaders do when the world starts shifting faster than their comfort.

Maybe it made sense when he told me his mother was one of those women who wasn’t waiting for permission to lead back when the words feminism and equity were still being treated like foreign objects.
You grow up watching that kind of fire, you don’t become rigid, you become receptive.

We were talking about LinkedIn and how he wanted to start showing up consistently in January.
A very corporate-timed decision.
Clean quarter. Fresh year.

And that’s exactly where I couldn’t keep my mouth shut.

Because the world doesn’t care about your corporate calendars.
Attention doesn’t wait for Q1.
Momentum isn’t seasonal.

He said everyone is slowing down for the holidays.
I said that’s precisely why he shouldn’t.

While the US and Europe wrap themselves in Christmas lights and collective slowdown, the Middle East is awake and building.
South Asia is awake.
Africa is awake.
Half the world is still doing business like it’s any other day, and people forget that because they live in timelines curated by proximity instead of geography.

This idea that December is a dead month is one of the most expensive lies the West sold to the rest of us.

People are watching, buying and planning their 2026 budgets right now.
And the noise on LinkedIn is the quietest it will ever be.

You want visibility.
You want authority.
You want to show up without competing with every Tom, Dick, and “7-figure coach”.
This is the damn window.

January is crowded. It's noisy.
It is everybody suddenly waking up from their December slumber trying to sprint with legs they haven’t stretched in 30 days.
January is the stampede.

Buuuttt...
December is where the smart ones build quietly, consistently, intentionally, and walk into Q1 already warmed up instead of trying to thaw themselves out of holiday-induced inertia.

And honestly, it blows my mind how many founders still think momentum is something you switch on like a lamp.
It’s not.
Momentum is a muscle.
You either keep it alive or you start from scratch every damn year.

So now I’m curious.

Reading this list might look cute and inspiring.
Living it was messy as hell.

Starting my business felt like gambling with my sanity.
Getting closer to God felt like learning to trust again.
Healing felt like pulling concrete out of my chest.
And loving myself
that one took the longest.

I’m 30. Indian. Running a business as a first gen entrepreneur.

This year surprised me.
In a good way.

Nothing terrible.
Just… wobbly.
A lot of figuring out.
A lot of “ok this clearly isn’t working, time to fix it before it becomes chaos.”
A lot of decisions I didn’t want to make but had to make anyway.

I wasn’t drowning.
But I wasn’t exactly floating either.
I was doing that awkward swim that looks fine from far away but up close you’re very much trying not to drink the whole pool.

But the second half?
So damn good.
Calm in the right places.
Chaotic in the fun places.
Momentum finally catching up to the effort.
Clients flowing in.
Systems getting tighter.
My team moving like a well fed, well caffeinated machine.

We expanded our entire service roster.

We realised our clients didn’t want ten different vendors for ten different things.

They wanted one place that actually understands the whole picture.

So now we’re a complete ecosystem.
Content, brand, website, inbound and outbound.
Emails, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn.

I wasn’t a nepo-baby, but mine will be.

And every time that sentence leaves my mouth, it feels like both a promise and a quiet prayer, because I didn’t come from a family that clipped my wings, I came from parents who were doing their best inside a world that didn’t give them the luxury of pausing to dream, yet they still made room for mine.

My father, the insurance man, the sales guy, the one who walked through scorching afternoons and endless rejections without ever letting it harden him, the man who instinctively knew people but never used that to manipulate, only to understand. I was the first one in my family to get a passport back in 2012.
And somehow I’m also the only one who has never used it.

Not even once.
I even got it renewed in 2022 like a clown who believed life would magically take her places.
