'In 2026 I am going to be more authentic...' so you outsource that authenticity to a machine? 

You know what it feels like? Kinda feels like setting yourself a target of losing weight this year...but then hiring someone to go to the gym for you. 

Sorry folks, but having read a number of reflection posts on how 2026 is going to be the year of self improvement, that are clearly written by ChatGPT (there are tells that go beyond the em dash!), is it going to be self improvement if you outsource the 'self' part?!? 

I am all for using the tech to help, enrich and improve. I love training people (I even bagged an award for it 😉) on how to use technology to do things more efficiently, but not at the cost of what makes us human!

If you are publicly announcing that you’re going to be more intentional, more self-aware, more authentic…

 …and you’ve delegated the most personal part of that process to a machine...well that is a big ole face palm to start the year off with🤦‍♂️

That “authentic voice” you are starting 2026 off with is the same voice 4000 other people have used in the past few minutes!
