Letzte Woche fühlte sich unser AI Filmmakers Berlin Meetup (Ausgabe Nr. 6!) besonders familiär an und trotzdem wieder völlig anders.

Wenn wir zusammenkommen, wird aus Technologie plötzlich etwas Persönliches. Etwas Mutiges. Etwas Eigenes.

🔥 📺 "House of Bellevue" ist gestartet und ich freue mich sehr, Teil des Writers Rooms gewesen zu sein.

Vielen Dank Kai S. Pieck, dass du mich so früh in die kreative Arbeit geholt hast.

House of Bellevue erzählt die Geschichte eines 19-Jährigen, der die Provinz hinter sich lässt und in die Ballroom Community Berlins eintaucht. Eine Szene voller Energie, Vielfalt und gelebter Identität.

Und ich gebe zu, es ist ein kleines Highlight für mich, meine Wahlstadt Berlin im fertigen Material zu sehen. Diese Mischung aus persönlichen Geschichten und Subkultur verleiht der Serie eine ganz eigene Energie.

Die Serie ist jetzt in der ZDF Mediathek zu sehen und läuft am 2.12 erstmals im TV. Den Link zum Stream findet ihr unten in den Kommentaren.

As the main person responsible for setting up the Penny delivery service, I developed it from zero to a double-digit million turnover. The development of stable structures and processes, clear and intensive communication and well-structured partner and stakeholder management were crucial for this. 

My work focused on the development and optimisation of sales processes, key performance indicator management, marketing and strategy development.

In field sales, I took on operational responsibility for several supermarkets with teams of up to 15 people each. I managed the operational business on site and was responsible for all processes, such as personnel planning and management, goods receiving and stocking, optimisation of store key figures (in particular loss and inventory results).

As Controller, I was responsible for the budget of around EUR 1.5 billion and prepared decisions for top management and specialist departments and advised them on all economic issues. In addition to daily tasks such as planning and reporting, I also developed the company's KPI systems. I also prepared, moderated and summarised the annual strategy and budgeting process. I supported the expansion with all economic issues in 50+ newly opened supermarket projects and a medium three-digit number of conversions and extensions.

As a coach, I have helped people (using hypnosis and NLP techniques, among others) to dissolve blockages in professional and personal situations and to gain clarity for their next steps.

This mainly related to the topics of personal and professional development, self-marketing, speaking & storytelling, leading oneself and others, dissolving blockages and fears. 

Above all, I was able to utilise my strengths in good listening and honest but direct feedback.

During my time at Toom, I supported the conversion and new construction of >20 DIY stores from a project controlling perspective. This included creating and optimising reports, carrying out store area and benchmarking analyses and preparing analyses and documents for location decision meetings. I also gained an in-depth insight into project processes and their optimisation.

In this position, I supported large companies from the global chemical and automotive industries, among others, as a key account manager in sales for customised wire mesh filters. 

In addition to concluding and managing six- and seven-figure annual contracts, I was also responsible for driving forward (technical) project development for new product applications in the field of filter products. I was able to fully utilise my excellent communication and coordination skills in the collaboration between customers, production, product development and other parties involved.

As a solopreneur, I thought 60-hour weeks were normal for a long time.

💡 I just didn't know any better.

When you're self-employed, you have at least 12 jobs at the same time: CEO, sales, accounting, customer service...

But nobody taught you how to do all of these at the same time.

For a long time, I thought I would just do what I did as an employee:

- Always go full throttle and put a lot of energy into it
- Doing more = more results
- Always be busy

My to-do list was NEVER empty.

🥵 Quite the opposite: the more I worked, the more inefficient I became.

And the list got longer instead of shorter.

I had the feeling that while I was going round in circles at full throttle, everyone else was passing me by at a relaxed pace.

I realised that things couldn't go on like this.

❌ Working more and more can't be the solution.

As solopreneurs, we are taking a huge entrepreneurial risk. And that should be rewarded.

With good profits, but also a free and happy life.

A life where the really important things don't always fall by the wayside.

The family.
The hobbies.
Your health.
