This is the section, where I tell you about how my degree in computer science catapulted me into the world of tech right?

That couldn't be further from the truth,  I did a law degree at the University of Sussex, and realized very quickly that I didn't want to spend anymore time reading case law.

Worked for a large engineering company in London for a while, started moving up the corporate ladder, before deciding to relocate to Salt Lake City ( just to let everyone know there are far less pubs here)

I then found the world of technology and start ups & I haven't looked back.

I am extremely passionate about building relationships and tackling tough problems, specifically in the customer success and partnerships space.

I also have a personal interest in social impact and corporate social responsibility, so much so that I decided to start a business that focuses on B2B charitable gifting (check out Go Give)

It reminds me of the CRM world before HubSpot showed up.

Salesforce owned the market. Not because they were the best, but because there was no real alternative. They got bloated. They got slow. They stopped innovating for the customer and started innovating for the board.

Then HubSpot came along and said: "What if the software was actually easy to use? What if you could get started in minutes, not months? What if we built for the end user instead of the procurement team?"

The rest is history.

That's the exact playbook we're running at Levanta.

Contracted with three SaaS clients to help them optimize their use of HubSpot, Zendesk, and Zapier. These project resulted in higher deflection of support requests to self-service using Zendesk Guide KB, more efficient and organized sales activities in HubSpot, removal of manual updates using Zapier, and better insights for support and sales leadership by building KPI dashboards.

I wrapped up these contracts when I joined Help Scout.

SIMetry

Returned to the Greater Boston Area in June 2016 to dedicate myself to a business (SIMetry) I started when traveling throughout Central and South America for eight months beginning October 2015. SIMetry delivers international travelers with Data SIM Cards from their destination country prior to their travel providing a reliable solution to stay connected when abroad while avoiding the high cost and outdated international data plans and packages provided by U.S. cellular providers.

I left Deloitte in November 2015 after leading the Year End Closing Process for Health and Human Service's Oracle Unified Financial Management System.

I spent the next 173 days traveling through 12 different countries in Central and South America.  Some of my experiences include:
•Attended Proyecto Lingüistico Quetzalteco de Español (a total immersion learning spanish school in Xela, Guatemala), 5 weeks
•Volunteered and lived at Fundaniños Children's Home and Orphanage in San José Pinula, Guatemala, 5 weeks
•Had the opportunity to practice for two months with Club Xelajú MC, a soccer team in the Guatemalan First Division
•Hiked the Torres del Paine W-Trek with my Dad to celebrate his 60th birthday
•Successfully summited Huayna Potosí, a 19,974 ft (6088 m) mountain in Bolivia

Member of the Financial Enterprise System's Management (FESM) Release and Testing team for Health and Human Service's Oracle Unified Financial Management System. 

Responsibilities:
•Led an implementation of a customized ServiceNow IT Management tool involving a full migration of data and configurations from the existing system.  Managed Development and Testing teams and presented project to client and firm stakeholders.
•Directed FESM Fiscal Year End activities, managing all activities, dependencies, and communications across seven stakeholder teams
•Built MS Project Plans outlining SDLC tasks for team projects and releases ranging in length from 1-4 months (250-750 lines)
•Developed and presented PowerPoint decks for client meetings outlining current status of projects
•Created new and revised existing SOPs for team activities
•Maintained Master Calendar outlining all team projects for the next 18 months

Technology Consultant

Member of the PMO and Accounts Payable teams for GCE’s New Core Financial Management System (NCFMS) for the Department of Labor. NCFMS processes over $150 billion in transactions yearly across 14 agencies, eight finance centers, and 2,500+ users while maintaining a unqualified (clean) audit opinion

Leadership Responsibilities:
•Managed Accounts Payable business process deliverables with adherence to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and best business practices, Service Level Agreement (SLA) obligations, and Agile development methodologies
•Led daily Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Vendor Management team stand-up meeting, tracking and managing current, completed, and upcoming team items
•Created and maintained weekly MS Project Plans and Status Reports for DOL Priority Items
•Served as point of contact for client communication on open Accounts Payable and Vendor Management items
•Directed Change Control Board (CCB) meetings and maintained tracking log, handled NCFMS Audit requests, representative for weekly DOL Management Standup and Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings
•Organized completion and delivery of operational items including Oracle and Treasury payment processes, SAM/CCR vendor file processing, and SF224 reporting as well as distribution of all associated control reports

Related Responsibilities:
•Assisted clients with all aspects of the NCFMS, specifically Oracle Federal Financials R12 and Kofax MarkView using both front end and back end (SQL) for analysis and navigation.
•Prepared Quick Reference Guides (508 compliant), Change Request Forms, QA Test Logs, Certification Forms, and Production Control Reports for a variety of Data Management and Software fixes, system enhancements and upgrades.
•Provided SQL database extracts for reports and audit requests.
