The judges highlighted our team’s ownership, our forward-thinking approach, and our depth in demand generation, human-led marketing, content, and employee advocacy.

Which is exactly the kind of work we’ve been quietly obsessing over for years. 

What stood out to me most is that they didn’t reward noise or flash but the discipline to keep things simple, clear, and genuinely useful. 

I’ve always believed that great B2B looks effortless only because the hard thinking has already been done, and this award feels like validation of that philosophy. 

It’s a reminder that simplicity isn’t the easy route but the skilled one, and that teams who commit to it end up building something stronger than campaigns.

For me, the real takeaway is that our best work comes from staying true to that mindset. 

And now it’s time to get back to doing exactly that.

When in reality..
 
It’s anything but.

A client came to me asking if we could run ads on LinkedIn.

They were looking to generate leads for new business and wanted to get going quickly.

But once we started the initial analysis, it became clear something was missing.

There was no content on their website. No case studies. No proof of past success.

Nothing that would make a potential buyer stop and think: 

“Yes, these are the people I need.”

So I told them the truth: we could run ads, of course.

But without anything to build trust, all we’d be doing is paying to be ignored.

That’s exactly why we always start with research: not to slow things down, but to make sure we’re solving the right problem.

Because I’m not just here to do what the client asks.

I’m here to do what actually works.

“97% of your market isn’t buying right now.”

You’ve probably heard that stat 20 times this year.

So we all started shouting about brand. About awareness. About the long game.

Fair enough. But here’s what happened:

We forgot about the 3% who are buying.

And we stopped capturing demand.. just as the tactics got better.

Cold outreach still works. Not the spray-and-pray kind. But when the timing is right and the offer hits? People respond.

Search still works too. If you stop bidding on broad stuff and actually write for buyers.

Referrals? Always worked. Still do. And funny enough.. most come from people who’ve never even worked with us.

They’ve just seen us around. Enough to trust the name.

So no: demand capture is not dead. We just got distracted.

And if you’re ignoring the 3%?

You’re leaving money on the table.
