👋 Hi, I’m Ryan. I’m a leader doing the work and sharing my journey.

For over 15 years in the consumer insights world, I saw firsthand how brands that listen to their customers while shaping strategy consistently outperform the competition. And as an operator, I’ve experienced the power of great people connected to a clear mission.

Be careful to listen to the folks who say you have to choose between career and family full stop. It’s a balance.  The truth is you have to parent and work hard to make it work there isn’t a short cut. 

It’s 1/5 , 8:00 AM and my 10 year old just asked to play catch before school. I was working on something but it CAN wait 10 m. 

I obviously went outside to play catch. A massive perk of a remote first company. But make no mistake I’m dialed the F work wise in and ready for a productive year. 

Let’s not have all this wonderful technology and still expect to work like our grandparents did  in factories. 

And PS yes my son wants to play catch at 8am on a freezing cold New England morning. When you love something you do it whenever you can. Fun to watch his passion for the game.

The whole drop an unsolicited , cold invite on a calendar doesn’t actually work does it? 

I get 5 of these a week. Immediately decline them, usually without even remembering the companies name and when I do it hurts their brand atleast for me. So clearly it’s a playbook a lot of CMO and CRO teams are running.  

This to me is alot worse than a connect and pitch here on this platform. Time is my most precious asset , to assume you can at 8:09 get me on an invite to discuss your XYZ AI agent is insane - I plan multiple weeks out and displayed ZERO intent. 

I know it’s tough sledding out there, but let’s do better.

Legitimately pumped to get back to work tomorrow. I hope you are too 🙌
