Ok honestly.... It probably is.

→ Take more naps.
→ Buy more plants.
→ Create a ton of bad art.
→ Pickle everything possible.
→ Do a bunch of mushrooms.
→ Give all of my attention to my cat.
→ Work with sooo many dream clients/friends.
→ Spend all of the quality time with friends & family.

And give 90% fewer fucks about the sh*t that doesn't matter.

Here's what email anxiety looks like for me…

#1 - The Freeze: You KNOW what to say. But... what if it sounds wrong? What if they read it wrong? What if—

#2 - The Spiral: The shorter the email, the longer it sits. A two-word reply haunts you for 72 hours.

#3 - The Draft Collector: You SWEAR you responded. Wrong. It's sitting in 57 drafts, perfectly written but never sent.

And while I’m stuck in email purgatory…

Prospects go cold, opportunities slip away, clients get frustrated.

Then yesterday I opened an email and saw a response already drafted.

"Wait... did I write this?!"

NOPEEEEE!

Demi AI wrote it. In my exact writing style. 

Even I couldn't tell it wasn’t ME.

What changed:

I thought imposter syndrome would go away once I started doing work I actually cared about.

😅

Like... when I was in corporate, hitting quota, getting promoted... I felt like a fraud.

Waiting for someone to realize I was just good at performing, not actually that smart.

So I figured once I left & started my own thing...

Once I was doing work that MATTERED to me,
that feeling would disappear.

LOL NOPE.

If anything, it got WORSE.

Because now I'm not just worried people will find out I'm not good enough.

I'm worried they'll find out I'm still figuring this out AS I'm teaching it.

That I still struggle a *lot* with my anxiety.
That I still tie my worth to my revenue some days.
That I don't have it all together even though I'm literally coaching people on this stuff.

EEEEEEEKKKKKKKK.

I still get really sensitive when people ask if I have any advice on imposter syndrome.

Bc I am still DEEPLY working through it myself.

But I guess here's where I'm at.

I don't think imposter syndrome doesn't mean you're a fraud.

It means you're PUSHING yourself.

You're working on something you really care about & you don't feel 100% ready to be at that level yet.

And that's MEANINGFUL.

Bc most people never do the really big, SCARY things bc they don't yet feel ready.

They wait until they're confident.
Until they're certain.
Until they have proof they won't fail.

But often...... that moment never comes.

So maybe feeling like an imposter isn't a sign you're doing it wrong.

Maybe it's a sign you're actually GROWING.

Stretching into something BIGGER than what you've done before.
That you CARE enough to be scared.
That you're REACHING into new heights!

And that's something to be freaking proud of.

It's Nick Gulic.

Idk how this gem of a man came into my feed...

But y'all I am dying.

I wish I could spend a day inside this man's brain... but I imagine I wouldn't be able to keep up with all of the hilarious shower thoughts.

I am constantly giggling, not only at his posts but ESPECIALLY at his ridiculous post sign-offs.

🤣 

But there's one other thing Nick is a MASTER at.

And that's engagement.

I see big creators all the time *complaining* about their content is tanking.

Well Nick is proving something.

His audience is small but MIGHTY.

He is getting *awesome* engagement... not by having the biggest audience, but by consistently putting out hilarious content.

SO if your content is struggling, maybe it's not the algorithm.

Maybeeeeeeee.... you need to be funnier.

(I'm saying this to myself, bc I complain about the algorithm at LEAST 5 times a week. And yes, I need to be WAY freaking funnier!)

You don't need to prove your worth by how high you can push a deal.

Here's what I used to think:

→ Charging more = winning.
→ Negotiating hard = proof that you're valuable.
→ Getting someone to pay your max rate = you're good at sales.

And I see this ALL THE TIME with the sellers I work with.

They're treating every deal like a competition they have to win.

Pushing for more. Testing limits. Trying to extract as much as possible.

Not because they actually NEED that number.

But because it PROVES something.

→It proves they're skilled.
→ It proves they didn't leave money on the table.
→ It proves they're not a pushover.

And then they close the deal... and it feels WEIRD.

Like they won, but also like something's off.

Bc there's a little thing that I've been learning as I've healed...

Money is an energetic exchange.

And when you're charging someone more than what feels aligned... they feel it.

When you're pricing based on ego instead of value... your body knows.

When you're trying to "beat" your client instead of finding the number that works for BOTH of you... it shows up in the relationship.

I'm not saying undercharge. I'm not saying give your work away.

I'm saying...

What if the goal wasn't to charge the MOST possible?

What if the goal was to find the number that feels GOOD for both people?

Where they're excited to pay bc they see the value.
And you're excited to deliver bc you're not resentful or performing.

That's the kind of sale that FEELS GOOD.

The kind of pricing that doesn't require you to prove anything.

The weirdest part about coaching people on burnout & nervous system stuff...?

I'm literally still figuring it out myself.

Like last week, I had a client call where we talked about setting boundaries with work & not checking Slack after hours.

And then that SAME NIGHT I caught myself scrolling LinkedIn at 10pm like "just checking if anyone commented."

LOL.

I'm not standing at the finish line coaching people across.

I'm maybe 3 steps ahead. Sometimes 2. Sometimes we're walking next to each other & I'm just the one holding the map.

Here's what that actually looks like:

→ A client shares something & I realize "oh shit, I do that too"
→ I teach a framework & then have to use it on myself the next day
→ Someone asks me a question & I'm like "honestly? I'm still learning this part" → We discover something together in real time bc neither of us knew it before

And for a while, that made me feel like a fraud.

Like... shouldn't I have this all figured out before I help other people with it?
Shouldn't I be FULLY HEALED before I coach people on healing?

But I'm definitely learning a lesson.

The people I work with don't need someone who's perfect.

They need someone who GETS IT.

Someone who knows what it's like to hit quota & still feel empty.
Someone who's actively untangling their worth from their work.
Someone who's a few steps ahead & can say "hey, I just walked through that part, here's what helped me."

I'm NOT some guru on a mountain.

I'm just someone who's been in the fire & found a way to breathe through it.

Still learning, still growing, still catching myself in old patterns & having to course-correct.

🤷‍♀️ 

The work doesn't end just bc you start helping other people with it.

If anything, it gets DEEPER.

Because now I'm not just healing for me.

I'm healing WITH and FOR the people I'm working with.

And that's actually kind of beautiful.

Even if it's messy.
