University of Waterloo’s Hyperloop, or Waterloop, is a student group passionate about new technology and believe that today’s technological advancements are key to tomorrow’s green solutions. The group represents the University of Waterloo in the SpaceX Hyperloop pod competition, an international competition consisting of over 1,200 student and non-student teams. In the summer of 2016, Waterloo’s Hyperloop was able to secure a spot in SpaceX’s final 30 teams. University of Waterloo was the only Canadian institution to emerge in the final round.
