Today is a big moment for Digioh’s go-to-market engine 🎉

We’re welcoming Josh McCallum and Jordan (Peek) Wolfe to the team. Both hires represent where we’re heading in 2026, and I couldn’t be more excited.

Over the last two years, marketing-led growth at Digioh has exploded.

Our pipeline is up 135%, 2025 outperformed 2024, and we’re seeing more interest from DTC brands than ever before. 

Between content, events, partner marketing, playbooks, webinars, and newsletters, our top of funnel is becoming increasingly diverse and multi-touch.

What matters now is activating more of that demand in the right way.

Traditional outbound is breaking under the weight of automation and AI-driven noise to a point where inboxes feel worse than the days when everyone was gifting AirPods for a demo.

What does work is nearbound: using real intent signals, context, and thoughtful 1:1 (human) outreach to close the loop between marketing and sales.

We’ve spent the last year rebuilding our funnel to support this — from lead quality to scoring to activity monitoring. Bringing Josh in is the next step in turning that system into a new growth lever. 

I built the MVP for this role myself, and the moment I met Josh, I knew he was the one to take it further.

At the same time, continued pipeline growth means continued investment in sales.

Jordan already understands Digioh from her time at Iterable and delivered one of the strongest mock pitches I’ve seen with minimal prep.

As Digioh moves further upmarket and into more enterprise-level conversations, having a seller who speaks both the customer’s language and Digioh’s is everything. 

She complements Geoff perfectly and strengthens an already aligned sales and marketing motion.

Honored to contribute to Klaviyo’s 2026 Marketing Automation Trends report.

2026 is the year of identity-first personalization.

A lot of the report reinforces what many of us are already seeing. 

Third-party signals continue to erode. Automation is everywhere. AI is quickly becoming table stakes. 

In that environment, simply identifying a visitor is no longer the advantage that it was in 2023 or 2024.

What matters in 2026 is what happens next.

Most platforms stop at identity. 

They help you recognize someone, enrich a profile, and pass that data downstream. 

But the onsite experience stays the same. 

Same pop-ups. Same journeys. Same timing.

That gap is where brands lose momentum.

In 2026, my big belief is that winning teams will move from identity to turning identity into action in real time.

Identifying intent onsite, then immediately shaping the experience, the message, and the next step across the funnel.

This is where identity-first personalization comes to life.

Platforms like Klaviyo give brands the foundation for owning and activating their customer data across email and SMS. 

Digioh works alongside that by taking those same signals and using them earlier in the journey, onsite, to guide shoppers in the moments that actually influence conversion. 

Together, identity stops being a record and starts becoming a system for action.

The brands that win in 2026 will not just know who their website visitors are. 

They will know how to respond, instantly and responsibly, based on what those customers have already shared.

The power of content resides not in its direct ability to sell, although it can. Truly great content — the kind that drives leads into and through your funnel — galvanizes an audience through a consistent story … well told. One with people, not products, at its core.

Every piece of content has to answer two questions:

(1) What hell does it save its audience from?

(2) What heaven does it deliver unto?

That might sound a bit theological, but it’s the most visceral way to make your content about your audience instead of you. Why? Because …

Self-centeredness is a plague — branded content that screams branded. 

At the opposite extreme is content for the sake of content. Feeding the beast for no greater purpose than, “We’re supposed to make content, right?”

Business results come from content that above all rescues its audience from their fears, struggles, and pains. Moreover, it must do so prior to and independent of a purchase.

Together, let’s save your business, your audience, and the world … from bad content.

Sean’s math is the reality of a get-rich-slow business. 

If you’re good enough to build a brand to $50M, you’re good enough to get hired at Google or Meta.

And you’d make way more money than $1-2M over 7 years.

But unless they give you banger stock options, you won’t have anything of outsized value at the end.

The payoff (read: bet) of building a brand is creating wealth — an asset of outsized value — in the long run.

Our newsletter stats tell me we’re hitting ~70% open rates and 10.5% click-through.

COOKING!

Until you factor in that business email addresses get scanned by security bots before humans ever see them. 

The bots click every link.

And ESPs count that as “engagement.” 

So I started running my own experiments to gauge the actual numbers. 

- Send traffic to our site for an event
- Watch Google Analytics for the spike
- Separate active sessions from ghosts

And holy s***, the gap between what my ESP told me and what actual humans did was undeniable. 

This is why I give every metric a haircut before I report to sponsors.

Always. 

The worst thing you can do when you're running a sponsored newsletter is over-promise and under-deliver. 

I’ve seen too many operators set themselves up to slam their foot in their mouth by trusting dashboard numbers without validating them. 

At the end of the day, what really matters is: “Can you drive results?”

Not what your ESP says. 

Sponsors who see actual conversions instead of inflated bot activity. 

Plus, as someone who has bought placement multiple times ...

I can smell the bulls*** 

The worst thing you can do is set yourself up to slam your foot in your mouth. 

So I take the worst-case scenario approach. 

They’re going to call bulls*** on this, so I’m going to get out in front of it.
