In this role, I managed a team of 12 to implement online masters degree programs for a portfolio of 50+ top tier university partners representing over $100M in target revenue.   We served as the primary touch point between the internal delivery teams and university partner leadership, ensuring successful relationship management, effective scoping of requirements, online curriculum design, program build & budget, faculty experience, and had bottom line responsibility for quality, on-time delivery, and data-driven continuous improvement efforts.  

Main collaborator and leader in building the Curriculum Development team from 5 to 30 in 2.5 years, including setting strategy, building process, hiring, organizational design, role clarity, career pathing & competency development, and performance management.

Leader in establishing the Learning team’s value proposition & messaging for partners throughout each phase of the program lifecycle.  This included developing consistent and clear customer-facing presentations, as well as internal cross-functional training materials for a rapidly evolving portfolio of degree products, services, and platforms.

Main collaborator on 2U’s Learning Experience Framework, which distilled the company’s research -based learning design methodology.  My role was to inform development of early prototypes, lead the market testing efforts with partners, and advocate for partners to inform product launch and messaging.  

Led and pioneered the product development, messaging, market testing and pilot phases for 2U’s groundbreaking Social Work placement product, the Virtual Field Experience. I also sold the product into partner programs and managed the implementation, student feedback, development of KPIs, and drove enhancements.

Lead business sponsor for several strategic process initiatives to drive efficiency, enable continued program growth, and enhance the partner experience with existing resources.

-Led global cross-functional team of 5 to define and deliver new LMS interoperability digital strategy in support of $55M English Language Teaching publishing portfolio.
-Directed all aspects of solution testing with customers from global key accounts valued at over $15M.  
-Analyzed qualitative and quantitative market research to inform strategy, roadmap, and product requirements. 
-Collaborated with Content, Digital Delivery, Marketing, Sales, and Support team stakeholders to scope business impact, develop business cases, plan and ensure successful market launch.

Digital Solutions Manager

Higher Education division of John Wiley and Sons

-Led the strategic growth plan and publishing portfolio for $10M Biology & Environmental Science list.  Consistently exceeded acquisition and revenue targets. 
-Identified market opportunities through competitive analysis and executing market research activities.  --Sourced authors and SMEs to create market-leading products, and successfully drove winning go-to-market strategies to ensure revenue targets.
-Championed the portfolio of biology products at global sales meetings, collaborated with marketing to develop value proposition & messaging, and presented at high-stakes sales presentations.
-Managed Wiley’s innovative OER/publisher partnership with OpenStax College. Market-tested, sourced, and launched the first OER + adaptive learning assessment product in Introductory Biology.  Received 2015 Director's Award for Editorial Innovation.     
-Received 2014 Editorial Competitive Signing Award for acquiring prestigious Cell Biology author team.

Senior Acquistions Editor | Biology and Environmental Science

-Led team of 5 content and media editors to ensure delivery of 10-15 digital education products per year on time and within budget.    
-Developed early prototypes and workflows for new interactive e-books, new LMS platforms, and online educational products.     
-Designed and led customer focus groups and market research activities to drive effective product development and value propositions.
-Presented at global sales meetings,  yearly customer-facing marketing events, and championed products in high-stakes sales presentations.

Senior Product Designer | Biology, Nutrition, and Environmental Science

-Served as primary business lead for Wiley's question authoring tool, gathering market intelligence and customer needs to inform product requirements and enhancements
-Primary collaborator on CMS design, rollout, and migration.
-Led pilot and UAT phases for new platform implementation by overseeing the first product to be delivered through the new tool, driving enhancements to support customer needs, and providing direction and feedback to the engineering team.
