Developing magnetostrictive thin film materials for biomagnetic sensors. Optimizing nanofabrication processes to enhance the sensitivity of the films.

Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar 

Developed 2-Dimensional(2D) Graphene oxide membranes to generate electric potential upon exposing the membranes to moisture, exploiting electrokinetic phenomena.

Functionalized the membranes using various synthesis techniques and improved the performance of the membrane-based device to generate a maximum voltage of 105 mV

Student Researcher

CSIR- National Chemical Laboratory

Synthesized a Pt- Fe hollow nanostructured catalyst that can act as an effective cathode material in various energy applications like fuel cells and batteries.

Performed DOE to improve the surface morphology and increase the catalytic activity of the alloy by optimizing different synthesis parameters.

Thermax Limited

Conducted extensive theoretical research with the Research and Development team on the Materials science aspect of a unique flexible solar thin film technology.

Summer Intern

Worked on developing gold nanoprisms and nanospheres that act as efficient catalysts in the photocatalytic splitting of water. Analysed the amount of green hydrogen (potential fuel source) produced using different sources of light.

Independent Research Project

Worked on proposing a suitable material for the cathode of an HTPEM fuel cell as a catalyst to enhance the device performance by improving the rate of the oxygen reduction reaction.

I'm working as a Process Development Engineer post completing my Master's in Materials science and Engineering from UPenn. My job involves a diverse set of roles including Metrology Development, Cell Testing, Process Development, PFMEA/DFMEA, etc. At UPenn, my research comprised semiconductor projects involving nanofabrication and characterization techniques for mechanical and biosensing applications. My interests broadly lie in the renewable energy and semiconductor space. Experienced in developing materials for renewable energy applications-  photovoltaics, catalysts for fuel cells/batteries, supercapacitors, plasmonic materials, graphene, 2D materials, etc.
