If you've ever built a character bible, cast a street performer or produced a dramatic pop-up show, this is for you. You'll need to develop entertainment concepts, character personas, storylines, costume notes and collaborate with performer groups to bring the concept to life with an executive production team.

I have a cry out to the designers of experiences….

Culture is getting flattened and compressed into a vertical screen at a more rapid pace everyday. So what does the future look like?

Social media (controlled by advertisement revenue) begs for more of the same. 

Slop that is optimized for performance that can appeal to the broadest audience.

Dollar in = a dollar out. The idea of art has been squashed. 

AI is incredible but this has only added fuel to the fire.

I think that us as event producers, experience designers, immersive artists need to (have to) be the ones to push the boundaries of culture.

We are some of the few creatives left that operate in a physical world - where people actually come together and laugh, smile, cry or meet new people.

Culture thrives where spontaneous interactions occur.

It’s our responsibility to squeeze in special and unique moments wherever and as often as we can.

The holding companies hands are tied, do not turn to them. It’s up to us as independent freelancers and agencies to take this baton and press on.

We’ve all been keeping an eye on it but now it’s really here. By revenue - Omnicom will become the largest advertising holding company in the world.

The CEO was quoted in Adweek saying “we will have have gathered together the largest group of the best creative talent ever in the industry.”

From my perspective - I just don’t believe that.

The best talent in the world is independent.

The best talent in the world believes in building their own dreams not someone else’s.

The best talent in world does not want to be another number in the system.

The best talent in the world is attracted to the fast nimble speed boat, not the massive cruise ship putting out a bland all you can eat buffet…

It’ll be so interesting to see how this rolls out and how it ultimately performs.

I think, now more than ever, you should be asking yourself…is my career dependent on someone higher up who just doesn’t give a shit? 

And if so, maybe it’s time to bet on yourself….
