I've been creating things, every minute of every day, ever since my mom turned around in the front seat of the car and said, "Let's play a game". She explained, "Every time you notice something neat in the world, notice what's missing. Notice how things could be even better. Imagine what you would create if you could create anything, and we'll daydream about it together. This is inventing." I fell in love with inventing at that moment, and have never stopped.

Malcolm Gladwell said it takes 10,000 hours to become an expert at something. I've been inventing deliberately, non-stop, for over 40 years. I have thousands of inventions and have brought hundreds to the world: a collaborative online market research platform that's still around today, Canada's first performance advertising network, a machine that makes websites in 10 minutes, Google's (and Gusto's) approach to customer acquisition, and Google Partners – Google's largest money-making marketing program ever, now generating billions annually.

Above all, I love inventing ways to help others flourish. Like the Indeed Happiness Score – a program we created at Indeed to help people be happier at work, and let everyone know where all of us are actually happiest working.

YMCA of Greater Syracuse

As the Senior leader over marketing operations, I oversaw and created the branch’s $4 million membership budget, providing quarterly projections, membership statistics and analysis around 20k members, and ongoing research and evaluation. I successfully managed a department of 30 part and full-time employees, creating retention and onboarding processes that increased ROI YoY. Highlights include: 
-  Grew membership by 8% through the development of new pricing models, strategic marketing initiatives, and corporate partnerships.

-  Produced marketing solutions for fundraising events, campaigns, sales presentations, and other initiatives through video and motion graphic features, websites, social media strategy and print collateral. 
-  Implemented strategies and processes to capitalize on the company’s nonprofit relationships, which led to new business RFPs, increased brand awareness, and greater employee satisfaction.

Helped manage and grow the YMCA of the USA account during their brand revitalization. Y’s across the country use the tools, imagery, videos and marketing tactics we produced to promote their locations and associations. Other key insights include: 
-  Coordinated a social influence campaign for the YMCA, increasing their following to over 19,000 Facebook fans in a year through paid and organic tactics. 
- Acted as point of contact for the Cleveland Clinic Family Health Centers.

I'm a big cheerleader for my trailblazing women in tech and serve as a committee member of the American Heart Association's STEM Goes Red for Girls initiative. We educate and support Cleveland teenage girls in pursuing STEM careers, promoting a more diverse and inclusive tech community.

I've built tech and marketing startups from the ground up and have led enterprise clients (in my agency days) in the education, medical, nonprofit, and tech industries, including The Cleveland Clinic, Abbott Labs, Welch Allyn, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the YMCA of the USA. 

I get lit up on adventure and the pursuit of strengthening the mind and body. I have too many books to keep up with, reading about philosophy, neuroscience or spirituality. And I'm often cold-plunging into a frozen river, running sober-curious yoga socials (I'm the creator of Last Call Cle), and exploring Cleveland with my 2 boys.
