Responsible for maintaining a system of accounts and internal controls to provide accurate, timely financial statements and provide effective control over the assets and revenues for multiple entities. 

Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and perform operational process reviews to ensure proper control systems are in place and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

Ensure general ledger reconciliation’s are completed on a timely basis and outstanding items are promptly investigated and resolved.

Maintain procedures to ensure accounts are collected on a timely basis and losses are minimized.

Develop and maintain sound purchasing and receiving procedures. 

Account for expenditures and disbursements within the scope of budgetary costs control processes and company policy.

Provided accounting/financial support to the Casino & Community Gaming Division through the review of gaming activities, accurate and timely capture of revenues, contract administration, and support for Casino & Community Gaming Division programs and initiatives. 

Responsible for maintaining accurate accounting and financial records for timely and accurate reporting for the Corporation, and provided support to internal and external stakeholders by providing operational and financial knowledge and information. 

Also responsible for assessing and anticipating Casino & Community Gaming Division needs and providing advice and solutions through the implementation of financial controls, systems, policies and procedures within the department.

Accountant

Office of the Attorney General

Assisted in financial planning, budgeting, analysis, monitoring, control and reporting services.

Reviewed monthly, quarterly, year-end operating statements and prepared monthly budget forecasts.

Reconciled & reviewed reports from corporate accounting systems.

Supported development, implementation and maintenance of financial systems.

Prepared cost analysis and business cases for purchases as required.
