• Pioneering the adoption of AI into clinical trial matching, augmentation of data abstraction, and incorporating AI into daily workflows
• Led 3 teams and 9 direct reports consisting of data analysts, biostatisticians, and clinical data SME’s for a 40-hospital and 800 outpatient facility service line overseeing outcomes, operational, and research analytics with 0% turnover and 100% growth during this time.
• Led team producing average of 50 peer reviewed publications per year with 80% in top quartile journals.
• Assisted in data analytics leveraging Excel, SQL, R, Python, PowerBI, and Qlik.
• Served as lead project manager for broader data projects with UPMC Clinical Analytics, including population health efforts, operational reporting, and quality improvement efforts, reducing a 6-month backlog of work in under 3 months.
• Automated data pipelines using Python, Spark, and the Microsoft Fabric Ecosystem that saved over 100 hours of work per year and increased data refresh frequency by 100%. 
• Assisted in securing > $1 million in grant funding through leveraging data driven applications

Director, Analytics & Data Science | Heart & Vascular Service Line

• Spearheaded an enterprise data analytics solution for end users to access reporting on clinical registry data. This is in use in over 40 forums with minimal overhead cost for maintenance and scale.
• Implemented regression analysis methods for strategic program planning that helped achieve 0% mortality in the heart transplant program for almost 2 years.
• Centralized clinical registry data management and billing to improve access, timeliness, and cost of acquisition, resulting in cost savings of $600,000/year.
• Managed 8 direct reports with 0% turnover and high engagement scores.

Lead Clinical Data Analyst | Heart & Vascular Service Line

UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh

• Collaboratively developed metrics to assist in measuring telemedicine utilization rates across 40+practices during the onset and throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. 
• Utilized Excel, SQL and PowerBI to  develop and deploy a central reporting product on the PowerBI service with the aim of guiding and measuring pediatrician practices book of business recovery from the initial COVID-19 pandemic shutdowns. This reporting product assisted in achieving nearly 100% recovery in well visits year-on-year post pandemic reopening.

Senior Clinical Data Analyst

• Developed an application that put cardiac surgery predictive analytics at the point of care to provide clinicians with decision support and patients with better shared decision making. Effectively scaled this product across the UPMC enterprise, worked with IT to integrate into the Epic Systems EHR, and the product continues to be used to this day (5+ years).
• Served as a subject matter expert for CT Surgery and Structural Heart programs at 5 separate hospitals, helping provide insights, problem solve, drive effective conversations, and generate process improvement.
• Used Excel and PowerBI to develop reporting and generate insights leading to a 14-month period of 100% compliance on priority process metrics.
