I have been a contracted and sponsored team athlete of Orlando Track Shack, a running company who is a leader in local road running events, for 6 years. As part of Team Track Shack, I share my running journey with the community and encourage participation in local training programs, races, group runs, fundraisers, and other Track Shack events. I was asked to join their racing team after sharing my transformation from non-runner to competitive athlete and developing a strong social media community, and I have subsequently shared my story via blog and video as part of my outreach efforts. 

I work with Track Shack to market and promote events, training programs, and races in person by running event tents, and digitally via blog and social media marketing. I collaborate with other team members and ambassadors on specific marketing campaigns and promotions in addition to sharing my own running and training journeys. I also assist with logistics at Track Shack’s races and work closely with the Track Shack Events staff to ensure event success.

Of course, as a member of Team Track Shack, you can also find me running most of their annual races, which range from 2-mile races to half marathons! Each year, I run the Fanatic Series and the OUC Half Marathon, but you will find me at as many of Track Shack’s races as I can participate in!

At Track Shack, I also worked as an expert staff member, blogger, and group running instructor. After my youngest daughter went to school, I decided to re-enter the work force as part of the team I had been working with as an athlete for several years already. 

As a marketer, I love products. I worked in the Track Shack retail store as expert staff providing impeccable customer service and product knowledge by assisting customers with running needs and fitting them for proper footwear as it pertained to their use, foot strike, and gait analysis. Much of my job involved complicated fittings for both athletes and those who have hard-to-fit feet or mobility issues. I also acted as a source of information about company training programs, classes, races, and other events.

In my role as a blogger for Track Shack, I wrote marketing-focused blogs optimized for SEO and took related photos for inclusion on Track Shack’s website. These ranged in topics from new product releases to event experiences and personal storytelling.

I also co-taught the Good Form Running Clinic that Track Shack offers monthly for runners who want to learn to improve their form and maximize efficiency while learning how to lower risk of injury. We taught groups up to 30 people by hosting a hands-on class which explained mechanics, taking groups outside to run, videotaping them and analyzing their form, and then discussing and practicing ways to improve.
