• Use Projects. It’s like a folder.
• Create one for [Survey Prep, Care Plans, etc].
• Upload 2-3 docs your team actually uses.
• Now every conversation starts with context.

• Find something that looks like what you need.
• Screenshot it or save as PDF.
• Drag it into the chat. 
• Type: “Match this tone and structure.”

Our daughter had heart surgery a year before her first birthday, when I was halfway through the MBA. No parent wants to focus on the surgical procedure happening, so naturally I was watching the inefficiencies unfold around me. There were amazing clinicians with deep compassion for patients, but they were clearly caught up in a system that just wasn't working. I decided I wanted to get involved in making healthcare a better place, not that I was single-handed going to drive change for the entire industry, but I wanted to be part of the solution. I thought about medical school for all of 2 seconds, because I faint when insides are on the outside. I added an extra semester to MBA in order to add a concentration in healthcare management and the rest is history. 

oh wait...I'm also an attorney. 

I was really fortunate to have some incredible experiences early in my career and eventually happened upon healthcare innovation occurring in the start-up space. I love it! I love having a front row seat to driving necessary improvements. I went to law school to build a stronger skillset to support a founding team. I took a left turn and jumped into Big Law briefly, but I still use the lessons I learned from that experience every single day. Like all the time because healthcare is hard and complex. And now I'm back into the swing of healthcare innovation. So that's where you'll find me, figuring out the nooks and crannies to help make healthcare a little better for the next generation.

Whatever it is you want to do this year, here’s your sign to go for it. Cuz, if this denim masterpiece can make it in the marketplace, so can you!

Do it scared. Keep going after they say no. Keep going when everyone says you can’t. 

Because you can. 

I was a non-traditional law student and frustrated by the textbook for academic success. It was clearly written by an amazing person that had excelled in law school. 

So I came up with an outline and got other students to join me. We assigned 2 to each chapter: a student that struggled and a student that crushed it. 

The first publisher turned us down. Now our book is on law library shelves and in the hands of law students. 

And we wrote it as 2Ls, published as 3Ls. Their first student author team. We got the whole project done ahead of schedule. Juggling marriages, mom life, jobs, academics, and extracurriculars.

A profession older than our Country

The remarks by Chief Justice to the House were a compelling reminder on our role. There are tough days and I am far from perfect, but I love being a lawyer and serving clients. 

The yoke of bar commissioner is not one that I take lightly, but I do enjoy it immensely. Helping make the whole thing a little better for my fellow attorneys

…and I’m building alongside my clients. Bootstrapped and working on my next project. Getting out of my comfort zone. Tackling things I never would have been bold enough to go after 2 years ago.
