HVI has been a family-owned and operated company since 2001. In 2020, Caleb stepped in on a truck and worked part-time at night and on the weekends to learn what it took to run the company from an operational and business standpoint. Caleb has started and sold his small businesses, so his experience as a young entrepreneur transfers over to his role at HVI.

- Caleb oversees ongoing business operations within the company. 
- Jobsite crews and office staff report directly to Caleb. 
- Caleb is reporting directly to the CEO.

Currently, Caleb oversees close to 20 employees and 7 service crews.

Chief Operating Officer

- Directing the day to day operations. 
- Directing 6-7 crews, fleet vehicles, and managing 12-14 people.
- Online job bidding and estimating. Proficient in several construction softwares.
- Fielding all company / customer calls and emails.
- Assisting in recruiting new employees, fielding resumes to the CEO
- Running advertising ads across platforms.

- Overseeing the Hydro Excavation division; invoicing, billing, vendors, and health & safety program.

- In 4 months, I have assisted in hiring, onboarding, and training 2 full-time crews. 
- Bringing in an additional 50-100k gross per month. 

- In 6 months, I completely took over bidding/estimating. 
- Largely contributing to the 400% increase in net income for the company.

General carpenter work on the commercial and industrial sides.  Foreman positions ,  GF positions, superintendent positions.  Interior , exterior , concrete, trim, cabinets, doors, ceilings, flooring. Teaching and mentoring.

Responsible  for the quality control on the foundations and structural as well as  client turnover package on the building of 7 gas processing plants and 2 de ethanizer  plants.  These plants are one of the largest natural gas processing facilities in the Eastern US.

Responsible for programming the robotic total station and layout points for foundations.  Was also a carpenter foreman. I worked with the graycor Qc manager for the client turnover package.

I was a carpenter on the commercial side of things.  Many large scale fitouts in malls,  buildings like big box stores for building materials, and other consumer goods. Responsible for layout, running a crew, running a jobsite as superintendent, coordinating with other trades to get job completed on time and budget, and of a quality that owners require.  I was also responsible for field takeoff on estimating materials and equipment on my projects. I filled in some on the project managment side as the office was out of state on a project. I was able to work on some very high end projects with some really cool architectural details

I was a drummer with the field drum and bugle corps at 29 palms CA.   Performed many public relations shows throughout the western United States.  Perfromed for many presidents, Heads of state , as well as celebrities during that time.

Usmc veteran serving from 82 to 90.  Where i learned the dedication and leadership skills that I still apply in life to this day. I have worked in the AEC trades industry for 30+ years.  I have been doing commercial construction work since 1991.   I have been with the union since 2007.  I started my construction journey at a very young age.  At the age of 6 I was learning how to use a hammer, and hand saw when we were building my parents' house.  As well as learning the design side of architecture from my father who worked for an architecture firm at that time. I have work experience with robotic total stations and other optics used in the trade, including programming robotic total station.  I am familiar with Navisworks and other 3d modeling tools, Revit and AutoCAD.  Concrete and trade specs with ACI.  I have worked as a civil QC as well as a superintendent /material and equipment estimator/foreman and general carpenter in both industrial and commercial settings. I have spent some time in a project management position, so I have some experience with budgets and such.  I am very much used to client relations.  I have facilitated work with other trades and architects to get jobs completed on time/budget, in spec., and of a high quality.  Have very good working knowledge of how all the trades do their work and can facilitate things with them to keep projects flowing.  Even with things not always going as planned.  I am always looking for the challenge and am very good at figuring out solutions for problems.  I am always learning and expanding my knowledge of things in the trades.  Classes I have taken mainly deal with project management and new technologies in the construction industry.  I am very much safety and detail oriented.  I love the architectural details in what I build and also in what I design for myself. I am an avid woodworker who does design builds and other work.  I am also very much into dirt track racing, with the thinking and technology involved with today's dirt late model cars. In 2022 I am back partnering with my brother and some friends with a new 2 car team and will be trying my hand at driving a dirt late model besides just making them fast as we can.
      In 2023 I started talking and creating content to help others learn some things from my 30+ years of experience.  And looking to expand that further.  I believe that we must mentor and help train the younger ones in the industry and help promote the trades to keep the legacy our forefathers built going to grow this nation.
