I never thought I’d leave a decades-long career at Dell Technologies to help local and service businesses, but one moment changed everything.

I had spent nearly 20 years at Dell solving business cash flow problems. My job was to turn the assets we had into more sales, faster. I enjoyed the work, but I felt removed from the true engine of the U.S. economy: small and midsized businesses.

While I had already started a coaching business on the side, everything shifted when my role was eliminated. Suddenly, the safety net was gone, but so was the ceiling.

I knew I had to take everything I’d learned about cash flow and sales acceleration and use it to help businesses that rarely got access to the kinds of strategies used by large enterprises. 

Why shouldn't they steal a page from the big company playbooks?

But my biggest challenge was learning how to sell myself.

I had experience in Finance, Operations, Communications, even Digital Marketing, but not Sales. I felt out of my depth when it came to how to create success on my own.

* In less than two years the Harness cloud business has grown to over $30M in TCV through cloud marketplaces. 

* In 2023, we surpassed all co-sell and GTM goals with AWS including pipeline targets (+382%) and  AWS Marketplace TCV revenue (+136%). 

* In addition, AWS Marketplace ARR revenue grew 172% from 2022 to 2023. The median deal size increased by 37%.

Senior Director Global Cloud Alliances

Qumulo

As the leader of the Alliances team for Qumulo, the leading file data platform for multi-cloud environments my responsibilities include the Cloud Alliances consisting of AWS, Azure and Google as well as the key Technology Alliances (ISVs) in Healthcare/Life Sciences, Media and Entertainment, Backup and Recovery, Genomics, Security and Video Surveillance.  Since taking on the role in November of 2020, I led the negotiation of our company's first cloud multi million dollar SaaS MACC agreement with Microsoft and the subsequent launch of our SaaS offering in the Azure Marketplace, Qumulo on Azure. In addition, I completed and negotiated Qumulo's first multi-year Enterprise Discount Program with AWS, and grew our influenced revenue across our ecosystem of Technology Partners by +70% Y/Y with flat resources. 

My team creates technical integrations with partners and the develops GTM programs to generate sales opportunities and revenue with our field sales teams.

In addition, I was a key participant in the executive team's briefing of Gartner on Qumulo's strategy resulting in Qumulo being named a leader in for the 4th year in a row in Gartner's Magic Quadrant. Qumulo is the only startup company listed as a leader in the Distributed File Systems and Object Storage Category.

Amazon Web Services

I led and managed the  Amazon Web Services (AWS) Global System Integrator and Influencer GTM team. This included the  creation of the joint global GTM  strategy with 20 of AWS's most strategic global partners.  The joint strategies include both GTM  to and through these consulting partners. The  tactics used include the development and promotion of case studies, collateral, events, digital marketing campaigns, thought leadership, sponsorships, account based marketing, and other sales generation programs designed to drive sales revenue and further adoption of AWS usage with our joint targeted enterprise accounts.

In a previous role at AWS, I owned the business strategy for the AWS Global Partner Summit at AWS re:Invent. I created and executed the Partner Leadership Track, an executive event, at re:Invent for 300+ C-level and VP level AWS partners. Together with the AWS events team I developed the plan to roll out AWS Partner Summits in 15 countries worldwide, including keynote development, messaging, sessions, agenda, executive communication and content.  In addition, I was a key team member in developing the strategy for a new global partner roundtable program executed in multiple countries.

In addition to these roles, in 2015 I scoped the strategy, business plan, funding, implementation, internal team/agency management and launch of AWS's scalable global partner marketing portal, APN Marketing Central. The portal provides scalable marketing materials and agency support to tens of thousands of AWS partners worldwide. This program is the flagship portal for AWS partners worldwide.

* Developed an integrated repeatable GTM program for the Dell Americas SMB segment resulting in $21M dollars of marketing influenced revenue from - a 20:1 ROI on marketing funds.
