Friday was my last day as Director of Sales at AutoNotes.

In 10 months, I built their first B2B revenue engine from scratch, closed two dozen net-new logos, sourced pipeline through outbound and social selling, and drove significant revenue lift by focusing on new business acquisition, expansion, and reducing churn.

Before that, I spent 3+ years at YAROOMS growing from AE to Senior AE to Director of Sales, closing enterprise accounts like Verizon, Teck Resources and Intermountain Health, while hiring, ramping, and coaching AEs, BDRs, and AMs.

I built their first U.S. sales playbook from the ground up and used it to enable the team through weekly pipeline reviews and deal coaching- improving win rates and forecast accuracy across the board.

Here's what I do well: 
• Close and expand MM & Enterprise accounts 
• Hire, ramp, and coach sellers to quota attainment

Day 2 of my job search.

11 first-round interviews scheduled. 3 second-round interviews lined up.

Here's what's working:

I built a spreadsheet with 4 tabs to treat this like the sales pipeline it actually is.

Tab 1: Tracking views and engagement from my first "open to work" post 

Tab 2: Target accounts I want to break into (whether they have openings or not) 

Tab 3: Roles I've applied for hiring manager names, last touchpoint dates, notes 

Tab 4: Active processes I'm already in, last contact and follow up steps

Organization. Time management. Giving a crap.

That's the difference between hoping something happens and making it happen.

I watched a rep lose a $47K deal in the discovery call.

Not because the product was wrong.
Not because pricing was off.

Because they asked zero business impact questions and jumped straight to features.

The prospect literally said, "I'm not sure this solves our problem," and went dark.

Here's what hit me: That rep didn't need more product training.
They needed reps. Real reps. Safe reps where the stakes weren't $47K.
Most enablement teams are drowning in:

Generic training modules no one watches
Role-plays that happen once during onboarding
Zero visibility into which skills are actually breaking deals

So reps "practice on customers."

And revenue suffers.
