From survival to success.

Hey LinkedIn, I wanted to re-introduce myself.

So here is my story:

It started with survival.

1987
↳ Age 11, my family and 25 others fled our war-torn country on a fishing boat.
↳ After a month drifting on the Pacific, we were rescued by humanitarian efforts.

1988
↳ We lived in refugee camps in Hong Kong and the Philippines.
↳ A single photo of my father, a South Vietnamese soldier, earned sponsorship to the U.S.

1989
↳ We arrived in America with nothing but hope and empty hands.
↳ No English. No money. Just grit and a dream for a better life.

1990
↳ I started school without speaking a word of English.
↳ My ESL teacher, Mrs. Gallagher, never gave up on me. By graduation, I was an honors student.

1991–1994
↳ I lived as a Buddhist monk, practicing Zen meditation, like Jay Shetty.
↳ It taught me patience, discipline, and calm under pressure, which became my superpowers.

1996–2005
↳ Graduated high school, earned a degree in Business and Economics.
↳ MBA while working full-time at Cisco.

2009–2018
↳ Built a corporate career, got married, had two amazing kids, and bought our first home.
↳ Then life humbled me with a divorce after ten years.

2019–2023
↳ Left corporate to chase entrepreneurship.
↳ Failed at five businesses, almost quit after the sixth, until Brooks Van Norman reminded me, “You’ve already been through worse. Keep going.”

↳ Then I met the love of my life, Anh — right at the lowest point in my career.
Instead of turning away, she ran toward the storm.
She saw something in me that others didn’t.

2024
↳ I refined, tested, and doubled down.
↳ That year, with the help of my COO Linda VanBreemen ⚡️, we hit our first seven-figure ARR.
