Direct the organization’s population health strategy with a focus on developing and operating health and wellness programs to address defined community needs while creating sustainable funding sources for these programs. Cultivate successful relationships with other nonprofit, corporate, and governmental entities to implement strategies that improve population health. Oversee successful start-up operations including six mission-driven community wellness programs, a community-based senior living program and supportive caregiving services.

●	Launched first continuing care at home program in the southwestern U.S., now with 53 members and recognized as one of the fastest growing programs of its type in the country.
●	Launched nationally-recognized care transitions program and succeeded in becoming a Medicare demonstration project, securing $3.9 million in funding over a four-year period. Achieved the highest readmission reduction in the country.
●	Conducted community-wide needs assessment and launched a nonprofit transportation organization, Northwest Valley Connect, to address the area's most significant need.

Executive Vice President, Population Health

Atlas Retail Logistics

As a key member of the leadership team, was responsible for revenue growth, profitability, and achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Tolleson and Denver grocery warehouses.
Demonstrated expertise in developing and monitoring KPIs, budgets, and financial statements to determine root causes of discrepancies and recommend strategies to improve results. Responsible for annual operating expenditures of $60 million including payroll and labor productivity. 
 
●	Spearheaded company-wide implementation of paperless payroll system incorporating direct deposit, payroll debit cards, and electronic pay-stubs for 600 employees in two states. Effectively lowered payroll administration costs by $58,000 per year and eliminated fraudulent activities.
●	Implemented process to monitor and manage productivity of non-warehouse departments to effectively decrease overtime by 52% in these areas.
●	Led successful transition of accounting systems from MAS90 to Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains for Tolleson and Denver sites.

Drove organizational excellence by directing daily operations and managing profitability for both the company and an independently-owned franchise. Assisted franchisees in developing and executing marketing plans, improving operational efficiencies and controlling costs. Advised franchise on areas of needed support for franchisees.  

●	Achieved highest sales and profitability among franchisees within six months of opening. As a result, was asked to become a franchise consultant providing operational and marketing support to fellow franchisees.

Operational Consultant/Franchise Owner

As VP, Administrative Services (2001-2006):
Directed a leadership team to increase operating performance, improve patient care processes and ensure superior customer service to achieve the organization’s strategic and operational objectives. Provided operational oversight at the 349-bed Boswell Memorial Hospital and the 299-bed Del E. Webb Memorial Hospital including leadership of Emergency Department, Pharmacy, Rehabilitation, Cardiopulmonary, Medical Records, Sleep Lab, Wound Management /Hyperbaric Oxygen Center and Continence Center departments. Managed an operating budget of $25.3 million and 431 FTEs. 

●	Directed process improvement project for Emergency Department triage and treatment at two hospitals, including implementation of a fast-track assessment, which led to top-quartile improvement in patient satisfaction scores while improving staff productivity by 23%.
●	Directed hospital accreditation preparation process and disaster preparedness activities, resulting in a top-decile JCAHO scores for both hospitals.

As VP, Planning Services (1996-2001):
Directed business development activities including master planning, facility planning, strategic planning and development of new programs and services to respond to identified community health needs. Led two large-scale hospital expansion planning processes ($36 million and $45 million, respectively), achieving return on investment targets while providing needed service enhancements. Developed new programs in accordance with community need and available reimbursement, facilitating cross-departmental collaboration to assure successful execution. Directed annual strategic planning process, including development of a new organizational mission and vision in 2000.

●	Successfully developed business plans to develop an obstetrics program, a sleep lab, wound management center, hyperbaric oxygen program, electrophysiology program, senior assessment center and child development center.
