My trainings in mental fitness offer effective and practical strategies as I have over 40 years of experience as an RN, I am a Certified Practitioner of Applied Positive Psychology, a Certified Transformational Life Coach, and the creator of The Sunshine Quotient®.

Research shows that we think between 60,000 and 70,000 thoughts per day and approximately 90% of those thoughts are the same as the day before, the day before that, and on it goes with most people believing beliefs that have been handed to them - often without real examination.

Research also shows that over 90% of health illnesses and conditions are lifestyle induced.

When you're working with me you'll learn about The Sunshine Quotient® mindfulness and breathing technique, your mind diet - what you feed your mind dictates how you operate - and the basics of neuroscience to explore possibilities and utilize the power of your imagination and mental rehearsal - nothing happens without your imagination.

You'll learn to increase your sense of deserving - you deserve to live the life that you want. You'll learn about discernment of energy frequencies, energy principles and universal laws, how to diminish those negative voices in your head and develop new neural pathways in positive directions. You'll learn to empower yourself with tools and strategies that allow you to move forward on your terms with an elevated level of self awareness. 

You'll learn how to improve your life experience in areas that include health, intention, love and transformation.

Mental fitness training is an ongoing process. My intention is for you to learn more about you, how you operate with and within the energy of universal energy, and how to make these energy principles work for you by learning the rules of the game.

Mental fitness training is a holistic approach to improving your overall well-being, and it requires a balance between art and science. The art of mental fitness training involves developing an awareness of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, as well as cultivating a sense of purpose and meaning in your life. It involves being creative, expressive, and in tune with your inner self. A knowing that you, too, are a part of nature.

The science of mental fitness training involves understanding the biological, psychological, and social factors that contribute to mental health. It involves learning evidence-based practices and techniques that can help you regulate your emotions, manage stress, and build resilience. We are energy. We are light beings that radiate light and information constantly. It involves using data and research to inform your decision-making and to track your progress over time and to adjust your level of vibration.

By combining the art and science of mental fitness training, you can live with purpose, vibrancy, and radiance. You can cultivate a deep sense of meaning and fulfillment in your life, while also building the skills and habits that support your mental health and well-being.

Here are some tips for engaging both the art and science of mental fitness training:

1. A daily mindfulness practice that allows you to cultivate awareness and presence in the present moment. This can involve meditation, journaling, or simply taking a few deep breaths throughout the day. The Sunshine Quotient® Mindfulness and Breathing Technique is a simple and effective exercise for this.
2. Engage in creative activities that allow you to express yourself and tap into your inner wisdom. This can involve writing, painting, dancing, or any other form of artistic expression that resonates with you, and your activation of your prefrontal cortex helps to build executive functioning skills, too. 
3. Build a support network of friends, family, and professionals who can offer guidance, encouragement, and accountability as you work to improve your mental health, and a community in which you can contribute, too. Become a conscious contributor. 
4. Learn evidence-based practices and techniques for managing stress, regulating your emotions, and building resilience. Cultivating adaptability is key.
5. Set meaningful goals for yourself and work towards them with purpose and intention. Attachment to the outcome is not necessarily to your advantage as opportunities often come to us in ways that we cannot yet imagine.

And, yes it still pops up,  but now, I have the tools to recognize it and take unapologetic steps forward to get my voice heard in rooms where it can feel difficult to do.

Theater, and especially improv, wasn't just an outlet. It was a revolution. It gave me space to fail. To find my voice. To stop chasing perfection and start chasing connection. It’s been my north star ever since.
