Dieser Post war für mich ein unbeabsichtigtes Lernexperiment.

Und zwar ein unerwartet lehrreiches.

Über 350 Kommentare.
Der Großteil davon nicht zum Inhalt. Sondern zur falschen militärischen Darstellung auf dem Bild:

Begrüßung falsch.
Kopfbedeckung fehlt.
Protokoll nicht eingehalten.

Alles korrekt.
Alles irrelevant.

Das Bild war als KI generiert gekennzeichnet.

Der Text handelte von Haltung Respekt und Wahrnehmung.

Und trotzdem: 95 Prozent der Energie gingen ins Korrigieren von Details des Bildes statt ins Nachdenken über die Botschaft. 

Dabei habe ich etwas gelernt: So fühlt sich also ein bisschen Mansplaining an.
Wenn eine überwiegend männliche Kommentarspalte reflexartig erklärt, korrigiert zerlegt, ohne auch nur kurz innezuhalten, ob das gerade wirklich der Punkt ist.

Ich wünschte mir, dass exakt diese Männer ähnlich sensibel reagieren würden oder wenigstens Verständnis zeigen, wenn andere auf Male only Panels hinweisen.
Auf Bühnen auf denen die „fachlich beste Besetzung“ rein zufällig immer gleich aussieht.

Denn:
Wenn Bilder keine Rolle spielen würden hätte dieses KI Bild keine 300 Korrekturanmerkungen ausgelöst.

Tun sie aber.
Massiv.

Danke für diese unbeabsichtigte Feldstudie.

Sie hat mir sehr plastisch gezeigt, wie selektiv Aufmerksamkeit funktioniert. Lernen wir daraus.

Worum geht’s?

Worked as part of the IT PMO Team, delivering IT Releases for a selection of clients. Project managed a number of IT and compliance related projects. Co-ordinating resources, managing timelines, risks, issues, budget and communications to Stakeholders across the business.
Key Achievements/Projects:
•	Delivery Manager for one of the major clients, deploying multiple releases. Working as part of a larger team supporting the client covering both commercial and technical areas. Organise and run daily stand up meetings to keep the wider team informed. Also working directly with the client on release management and end to end testing, co-ordinating timelines and resources.
•	Delivery manager across various clients who use a shared platform. Deployed releases and co-ordinated testing requirements across the clients when end to end testing was required. Resources were requested and managed as required during the delivery timeline.
•	Project managed a clients exit from the business, covering all IT aspects during the Discovery phase of the project.
•	Project Managed a Compliance project for a major client who had a number of Findings after an audit. Clarified owners for each finding and progressed these to an acceptable status.
•	Helped to develop a forecasting tool for resources used across all clients until another solution was found.
•	Regular tasks included weekly slide updates for Management and Stakeholders, maintain Planners and Budget Trackers, Managing Risks and Issues, Escalation Management, Resource management (incl.Timesheets), cutover activity and deployments.
•	Learned to use the Google platform.
•	Learned to re-use Microsoft Project.

IT Delivery Manager

Miele GB

Operations Manager and also responsible for Digital Delivery, mainly focused on the M365 product suite.
Managed a small team supporting GB & Ire, covering the Head Office locations and the Experience Centres.
The team cover all systems (not ERP or CRM) including Telecoms. 
Plenty of opportunity to develop the organisations use of M365, enabling take up of Power Automate and Power BI, automating the Monthly IT Delivery Dashboards on Power BI.
Migrated 650K files from a legacy file share platform onto Microsoft Teams and archived 1.5m files from that platform.
Built a training suite around the use of Teams and other products, encouraging the use of video platforms for training rather than Word Docs or PDF's.
Migrated all IT related documents from two  legacy sharepoints onto one M365 environment.
Launched Viva Connect for the company for GB, Ireland and South Africa.
Modified the teams working hours to be a better fit for optimum support period.   
Introduced quarterly check in's for the team, to enhance the PDR process.
Introduced quarterly meetings with key stakeholder groups outside of the Leadership Team, to develop a relationship of Business Partner rather than only IT Support.
Implemented a Digital Signage solution.
Produced meeting room troubleshooting guides for more clarity on how to use the equipment,
Part of the general ISO Audit and moved all the Process and Procedure documents to one centralised location, updated them and implemented a once a year review.
Also covered the Data Protection Officer role.

IT Operations Manager

Prolinx Limited

Managed a team of 3rd Line Technical Engineers and the 1st and 2nd Line Managers reported into me, so I had accountability with our customers.
Worked closely with our Resourcing and Project Teams to try and find the right balance on workload and priority projects, ensuring delivery of projects on time and within budget. 
Key Achievements/Projects:
•	Developed the company's first Communications Charter and incorporated this into the standard induction in the form of a video, which was the first such use of this media within the company.
•	Implemented and maintained the company's first Digital Signage solution around all sites, including the Customer Centre.
•	Introduced a more flexible working pattern throughout the Technical and Service Operations teams, instigated due to the pandemic but continued afterwards to allow a better work-life balance for the team. 
•	Installed the company's first Business Intelligence solution (Dundas). 
•	Developed the need for proactive people management, with regular PDP's and reviews, developing the team both technically and non-technically.
•	Initiated more co-ordinated ways of working and encouraged innovative and change orientated thinking.
•	Reduced incident backlog and instigated Ticket Blitz initiatives.

Technical Operations Manager

Bayer Pharmaceuticals

Head of IT Operations, Reading, UK  
Worked alongside global colleagues to direct the strategic planning and management of ITO to meet local needs. Assured high quality and timely IT Project Management, including the necessary processes, prioritization and compliance activities. Reliable, available and efficient operation of the IT Service portfolio adhering to global frameworks. Steered IT Services Integration and end-to-end services delivery including new market trends and external supplier partnerships. Proactively participated in Global ITO community, and aligned global and local operational agendas. Provided Team leadership to 40 people by engaging and developing a first-class IT Ops workforce, created vision, direction, strategy and motivation across multiple teams. Manages overall investments budgets and has financial accountability based on global budget planning and guidance.

Key Achievements/Projects:
•	Developed the skills and motivation of an Operations team located across the UK and Ireland to become “Best in Europe” within Bayer, reaching all SLA’s. This success led to the team being selected to pilot new initiatives. 
•	Led the outsourcing of the Service Desk and Workplace functions working alongside Global colleagues. The Project included extensive Change Management to ensure a successful outcome.
•	Developed new Insights from BI metrics by bringing both sales and activity metrics into one dashboard allowing the business to identify anomalies and adjust their sales force strategy. 
•	Managed the global roll-out of a new video platform which significantly enhanced internal collaboration and informed decision-making.
Led the seamless transition of Application and Business Intelligence Portfolios onto new platforms, successfully decommissioning legacy platforms with no business impact brought savings of over £100K.
•	Delivered business improvement through leading the technical rollout of the Windows 10 platform and the move to Office 365.

Information Technology Operations Manager

Head of Applications & Business Intelligence, Reading/Newbury, UK                                                      (2011 – 2018)
•	Presented new IT Learning methodology for UK and Ireland colleagues, which transformed the collaboration internally and enabled business efficiencies by maximising the user of the Microsoft platform. 
•	Led local IT strategy by maximising the relationship with Gartner which enabled us to bring in new platforms and concepts. 
•	Led multiple major system implementations for both ERP and CRM. 
•	Introduced and implemented the first true agile project management methodology to the company and completed scrum master certification. 
•	Enabled successful business strategy after developing extensive Application Portfolio locally, again becoming the “Best In Europe” example within the company. 
•	Saved £300K by developing a Rebates solution internally. 
•	Introduced new talent to the organisation with student placements and IT graduates.
•	Directed the highly successful Head Office move to new premises, built around new technologies and extensive Change Management.
•	Reinvented the culture in UKI by using social media and video platforms to collaborate and reduce the volume of emails by 20%. Introduced a new video platform locally which was adopted globally.
•	Part of the local Innovation Team and introduced the We Solve concept to the UK & Ireland.
•	Early adopter and participant in global Working Out Loud initiative.

Information Technology Manager

Head of IT, Newbury, UK (2005 – 2011)
•	Successful completion of multiple acquisition and divestment projects.
•	Reduced overall local IT Budget from £12m down to £10m. 
•	Achieved £1m cost saving by consolidating three IT departments into one.
•	Built EMEA IT Organisation and worked on various International initiatives/collaborations.
