Triage Consulting Group

All Experienced Analyst tasks, plus:
- Manage a minimum of four projects (average size of $2M) at the end of the revenue cycle, working to close out all open accounts while ensuring each remains profitable and up-to-date with monthly strategy reviews and consistent follow-up.
- Communicate verbally and in writing with insurance companies to recover >$19M of underpaid dollars. Appeals and phone calls typically require citation of contract language and applicable state and federal laws.
- Build queries in Microsoft Access to analyze large volumes of hospital data and determine profitable collection strategies in order to maintain a consistently profitable project hourly. Projects under my management experienced an average hourly revenue increase of $15.
- Identify, manage, and delegate research projects to four other team members.
- Manipulate data, automate internal reports in Excel, and fact-check client deliverables.
- Supervise daily operations of two Senior Analysts including training and assigning tasks intended to promote growth and career development.
- Collaborate with internal senior management (including directly reporting to the CEO and CFO) to ensure profitability and customized project strategy based on client needs.

Project Resolution Team Senior Associate

All Analyst tasks, plus:
- Recovered $5 million in underpayments for one of the largest projects at Triage Consulting Group, UC San Diego, by working with commercial and government health insurance companies.
- Diligently reviewed the contracts for Dignity Health and renegotiated contract rates with insurance companies to help recover $2.7 million for our client.
- Resolved $1 million in uncollectible hospital claims for HCA Houston by determining inefficiencies in the client’s revenue cycle.
- Trained two new analysts in Triage’s one-on-one training program for a 6 month period.
- Acted as lead liaison between 4 internal project teams, Resolution Services Group, and management to ensure project expectations are met.
- Served as a mentor in career and personal development to two new analysts as part of Triage’s mentorship program.

Senior Analyst

- Created a concise resolution strategy for UC San Diego’s outpatient series claims to help recover $125k for the client.
- Strategized with members on the Eisenhower Medical Center project to resolve $100k in workers compensation claims.
- Managed the follow-up and research of 200 hospital claims over 4-5 projects at one time.
- Volunteered with Triage’s community partners 3-4 times a year.
- Planned and coordinated team events for 30 team members.

Analyst

NORCAL Ambulance

- Created the Quality Assurance Department, implementing practices, policies, and procedures in collaboration with field operations and the medical management team.
- Led incident investigations initiated by clients or patients to ensure all clinical care was delivered according to company policies and procedures, and state regulated licensing scopes.
- Lead regulatory investigations, working directly with county, state, and federal regulatory agencies (e.g. Cal/OSHA, OSHA, LEMSA, etc.) to ensure full compliance.
- Created and delivered educational modules for remedial trainings.
- Delivered bimonthly HIPAA compliance and bloodborne pathogens training.
