As TEDx Aston University, our vision is to empower curious future-focused change-makers to connect beyond their limits. As part of the Internal Experience team (HR team), our role was to ensure the good functioning of our student society on a personal level. My first role as Project Manager was to organize monthly events to foster our organisational culture and the bonding within our members. Additionally, my role was to create a recognition tool within our society. I implemented the latter on Workplace by Facebook and made sure it aims at recognizing our members who behave according to our values: growth, communication, creativity, empowerment and trust. 

Being part of TEDx Aston University taught me rigorous organisation and events managing skills as well as flexibility, problem-solving, delegation and interpersonal skills. Furthermore, I had the chance to participate in a Belbin Team Roles workshop which taught me about the importance of valuing and making use of everyone's roles and qualities which can significantly strengthen a team.

Together with Amanpreet Sidhu, we were leading of the Innovation team. Our role was to organize and facilitate weekly workshops for teams of students to turn their business ideas into projects to be implemented. We were mostly focusing on the feasibility of the implementation of the projects, ensuring their positive impact on specific communities. Moreover, we were looking at the scalability of the projects and at potential sponsors we could reach out to. 

Co-leading a team with Amanpreet taught me about problem-solving skills, trustworthiness, communication and responsibility.

Recruited by an interim agency, I was a waitress and a hostess for several banking events for big clients (twice a month during 5 months : November, December, January, July, and August). My responsibilities were to welcome the clients, serve them food, drinks, manage the cloakroom and ensure their satisfaction throughout the events. 

Throughout those events, I learned hospitality, multi-tasking, customer service, language and professionalism skills.

Because of the nearing Christmas season, the Pandora Group had issues dealing with the high amount of orders on their e-commerce. An interim agency recruited me to help them for two months. My role was to deal with customers requests via email. The requests were mostly focused on shipment of parcels, return of parcels, lost of parcels and product deficiencies. I also spent time listening to colleagues who were dealing with customers requests on the phone. 

Throughout this experience, I learned to adapt quickly to a new environment, learn on the job, as well as customer service, language and professionalism skills.
