Though I no longer work in communications, my background as a strategist shaped how I see the classroom: everything is an act of communication—and every act carries story. I believe every subject we teach is a story. Every student is its protagonist. And every moment in the classroom is an opportunity for discovery—of self, of others, of the world.

Over the years, I've come to realize that my work lives at the intersection of three callings:
• Writing fiction for children that explores cultural heritage, identity, and belonging.
• Inspiring young writers to become through their words—to use writing as a tool for self-discovery.
• Mentoring teachers to see their classrooms as narrative spaces rooted in big, enduring ideas.
