As a Quality Project Manager at Rockwell Automation, I have been responsible for driving improvements in business performance to meet financial and business goals, with a focus on preventive quality assurance during development and industrialization setup. I have led, organized, and facilitated process improvement initiatives across the entire corporation. My efforts in seeking and implementing process improvement ideas in the primary work area, as well as identifying and managing Critical To Quality (CTQ) factors, reviewing CDFMEA/DFMEA/PFMEA for proactive prevention using control plans.

I have achieved a number of significant accomplishments in my role. Most notably, I successfully reduced the root cause and corrective action (RCFA) cycle time from 60 days to the current 33 days within 6 months by streamlining processes across the US, EMEA, India, and China. Additionally, I acted as the quality representative for a critical software project, driving improvements to address daily anomalies and achieving zero anomalies at the release stage. I also led quality assurance initiatives for HW (Controllers and IO) projects, ensuring that all regulatory requirements were met, including deploying APQP initiatives within the projects.

I provided senior thought and engineering leadership from ideation to market release for the company's legacy R&D projects. I managed multiple R&aD, testing, and process activities to ensure timely product delivery within aggressive timelines. I was responsible for leading regional and cross-functional teams, providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior project team members. I also managed and engaged with third-party offshore contract manufacturers, suppliers, and vendors in Singapore, Malaysia, and China to align manufacturing processes and leverage existing proven processes for cost
benefits.

I generated weekly project updates and reports for senior management, and was responsible for project budgets throughout the project lifecycle. I collaborated closely with the production team for new project releases and provided post-project support to ensure sustainable product yield. Additionally, I worked in alignment with the Marketing team on volume forecasting to ensure that the final product scope, time, and quality met expectations.

Throughout my tenure at Broadcom, I achieved numerous successes. I successfully achieved full-scale production release of R&D projects within an offshore manufacturing facility in just 8 months. I also meticulously supervised the process assembly to meet challenging deadlines and provided key support to US R&D counterparts in resolving critical customer product and delivery challenges within the project timeline and scope. Additionally, I effectively utilized third-party offshore contract manufacturing partner production lines in Malaysia and China, achieving a cumulative yield of up to 95% across multiple engineering builds within the project lifecycle.

I oversaw the establishment of a technical centre focused on providing ballistic testing services to regional military and law enforcement clients. Leading a team of 4 R&D engineers and technicians, I collaborated with global technical centre managers to ensure alignment of R&D activities across all centres. I maintained active communication with regional application and technical marketing teams to guarantee prototype production met design standards and client specifications.

I was instrumental in the successful construction of a 2500 sqm building within 18 months, with a total investment of US$10 million. My exemplary site management skills ensured compliance with local regulations and global requirements. Additionally, I strategically aligned key goals and enhanced process efficiency through yearly group policy reviews with global centre managers. I further identified existing skill gaps within the technical and engineering teams and designed customized training programs and on-the-job assessments to bridge these gaps and enhance their industry competence.

Finisar Corporation (NASDAQ: FNSR)

I was responsible for providing tactical direction in the seamless delivery of key optical transceiver projects across the Asia Pacific region. This included managing production and manufacturing lines, as well as transferring products to Singapore and Malaysia. I provided guidance and direction to a team of up to 10 engineers, as well as R&D, marketing, and sales personnel, and collaborated across multiple
functions and with offshore units to communicate goals and address quality, reliability, and testing-related issues.

One of my key contributions was successfully achieving a USD$10M cost reduction program for the company's legacy optical products, resulting in significant savings. Additionally, I led the introduction of Finisar's first-ever 10G plastic cable project, known as LaserWire™, from its conception to market release. I demonstrated excellent project management skills, ensuring high-quality delivery within the specified timeline and meeting all required specifications.
