I gave a presentation on how Conversation is the secret to ranking your website on ChatGPT.

Before we dig into how, here is why we care?
	•	ChatGPT influences human discovery and decision making… This is the same as how influencers sway your opinion.
	•	ChatGPT traffic converts better… A recent report shows traffic from ChatGPT answers converted 6x higher than organic Google Search visitors.
	•	ChatGPT can be easily manipulated now, like the early days of website meta tags.

How does Google search work now?

If we want to search for something on the internet, we will go to Google, type in “car dealership dubai”. This is a keyword driven search.

Google will go away and search for a match of those words in the database to serve you the websites where that keyword is found.

As a result humans have optimised its interaction with Google often giving less words due to it being superfluous to the end result.

How does ChatGPT Work?

Generative Ai is built in a way that mimics the human brain. This is called the Neural Network and is built using data from the Internet which is predominantly in English.

When we talk with a conversational dialogue. “Hey Chatgpt, can you tell me the nearest car dealership to me.” It will deduce the best answer to give you according to what it has learnt from the worlds’ internet.

But this is where ChatGPT is different, it will then try and narrow down that search criteria to be more relevant using longer form speech oriented conversation. “Can you tell me what kind of car you would like?” And you might respond “I’m looking for an SUV”.

Because ChatGPT wants to HELP the user.

What does help look like on Google?

If you search on Google for the “top 10 suv dealerships in dubai”, you’ll likely find a correlation between what ChatGPT recommends and Google recommends.

This content is what I call “Help Driven” content which is there to help, guide or answer questions for the reader.

This help driven content is almost always:
	•	Questions, How to, Comparisons and Guides. (In particular long tail keywords that focus on specifics)
	•	Example “I need to compare suv’s with sunroofs in Dubai”

The other quirk of ChatGPT compared to Google...

ChatGPT is trying to influence the end result by prompting you with questions, and those questions can be leading.

‘Ai suggests you’re looking for’ NOT ‘what humans think they’re looking for’.

When you are thinking about your content going forwards, ask yourself is this content like having a Conversation and is it Help Driven.

It’s going to be kicked off with ChatGPT needing to raise its revenue. It’s losing $127 million dollars per day and it wants to capitalise on its lead on Google.

This is the first part of my multipart series on - The Great Ecosystem

Part 1 of 5: ChatGPT is coming after Google by becoming your default Search Engine.

I’m setting up my new home in Dubai and I’m looking for a dishwasher and this dishwasher needs specific dimensions because of the space it needs to fit in. It’s not a standard size. 

Normally I would be on amazon trying to find a dishwasher, but as I go through, I read that there might be an ultra quick wash feature that could be useful so I include that in my search.

But this time was different, I went on to ChatGPT and gave it the size dimensions and my budget. It returned options and it gave me an opportunity to discuss why some dishwashers are better than others and highlighted some features such as an ultra quick wash. I ask why this would be important and it gave me the answers. I narrow my search and asked it to find the cheapest price from reputable suppliers.

If I had the opportunity to click buy there and then, I would have.

But the thing is, ChatGPT is doing this and this is why you should be excited about it. They are building a platform sticky enough to rival Google and Amazon combined.

Instant Checkout

Now you can discover products, compare options, and buy all inside ChatGPT, after releasing their new Instant Checkout feature.

OpenAi has partnered with Shopify and Etsy to make AI-powered shopping basically one click… without ever visiting a website. 

It will take payment using Stripe and is onboarding merchants using an Agentic Commerce Protocol, a standard to integrate OpenAi into its recommendation engine and charge a fee to the merchant per completed purchase.

Why does it matter to me? Because the merchants that integrate with OpenAi will be recommended first and at no additional marketing cost. A significant advantage when you realise that customers are 6x more likely to convert from a ChatGPT recommendation than a Google search. As I described in my previous article. Those who jump on this first will have outsized returns.

TikTok is already doing this with Social Commerce, another fascinating trend that is set to blow up in 2026. If you’ve seen Chinese commerce influencers you’ll know what I mean.

We are watching search, discovery, and purchase collapse into a single interface. That shifts power toward whoever owns the conversation layer, and forces brands to think about Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO).

And we went deep on what’s actually happening in AI right now.

No hype.
No “AI will change everything” clichés.

By swapping stories from life and business, we found:
Overlap.
Shared pain.
A few ideas worth building.

Then we spoke about the biggest blocker most Ai consultants avoid saying:

Running AI at scale is too expensive ❌

Not because the tech doesn’t work.
Because the economics don’t.

When you move from:
A few prompts…
To millions of rows, docs, messages…
Token costs explode.

You pay for every input token you ingest.
And every output token you generate.

That’s the quiet killer of ROI.

And this is where Qwen stood out.

Qwen is Alibaba’s LLM family, same category of models as the ones behind ChatGPT.

Meaning you can plug it into workflows to do:
Summarisation, Classification, Extraction, Translation, Drafting
…at scale

But the real reason it matters?

The pricing curve.

Qwen Turbo can work out at roughly 98% cheaper per token than GPT-4o.

And that gap is the difference between:
A pilot to test AI with…
and a system you can actually run in production.

‼️ Warning. Viral Ai, Clawdbot may steal your snacks (or your passwords) when you're not looking. 

Treat it like malware.

I’ve been using Clawdbot (now called Moltbot) this week and I get the viral hype, it really does feel like having an Ai personal assistant. 

Some of the things I've got it to do.

• Research topics online and deliver quick summaries with links
• Read and Draft emails, DMs, and posts in your voice
• Create morning briefings and help plan your day (calendar + priorities)
• Handle browser chores like filling forms, tracking orders, collecting info
• Organise files and turn PDFs/notes into clean docs and checklists
• Automate repetitive computer tasks and keep a simple log of what it did

Does this sound like your PA?

But: I keep seeing people run it on their main laptop and I want to be that person for a minute.

What you’re really giving it: the ability to act on your behalf, not just “chat.” It's an autonomous agent with access to all your sensitive data.

‼️ Core access to your computer
‼️ Browser control with all your logged-in sessions
‼️ File system read/write
‼️ Access to connected services (email, calendar, etc.)

The uncomfortable part: it can be tricked by what it reads.

A weird message, a sketchy PDF, or a bad webpage can nudge it into doing something you didn’t intend.

If you connect messaging apps: every random DM or group chat can become “input” to a system that can take actions for you.

No training wheels: it’s built for power users who want maximum capability, which is awesome… but it also means you have to be intentional.

How I’d use it safely:

- Run it on a separate device/account if possible (not the laptop with all your personal stuff)
- Keep it away from your most sensitive logins and files
- Be cautious about what you ask it to open or read
- Don’t connect it to every messaging app “just because you can”
- Start with minimal access, then expand only if needed

The tools are moving fast but people's safety habits haven’t caught up yet.

Every January I notice the same pattern.

People reflect on how the past year went, dream of the future they know they’re meant to live, then set intentions for the new year (the “new year’s resolution”).

But after January passes… they slip back into the same habits, same pace, and the same way of doing everything alone.

It’s not because they’re lazy and don’t want to change (they most certainly do). 

What’s actually happening is that most people are trying to build a new life with the same nervous system, expectations, and support structure that kept them stuck this past year. And that rarely works (I know this because I lived it).

There was a time when I thought independence meant strength. I carried the mindset of “I can do everything myself” and “I need to do it myself if it’s going to be perfect” into each new year. I truly believed that if I could just read more, plan harder, think faster, I’d eventually figure it all out. 

And yes, I did make progress. But it was slow, exhausting, and often lonely (mixed in with burnout here and there)

So how did I get to where I am now? In flow, living my best life, and experiencing opportunities I had dreamed of, but wasn’t sure if they were possible? 

It wasn’t finding more motivation or discovering a ‘better’ strategy.

It came when I stopped trying to do everything by myself. When someone held the vision with me and gave me guidance, accountability, and a space where my ideas didn’t spiral, they sharpened.

That’s when things accelerated and I watched my life start to change in a way that felt almost effortless.

Most people don’t realise you don’t need a ‘new year resolution’. You need a new way of being supported. 

Because staying in “almost” is easy when you’re on your own. Almost ready, almost consistent, almost confident, almost there.

But growth happens faster when someone is walking beside you.

So before you set goals for 2026, ask yourself this: What version of me is trying to build this next chapter… and does she/he actually have the support they need?

Most people quit right before the level changes.

If things feel harder than you expected, you’re probably doing it right.

This part of the journey catches so many people off guard. We’re sold the idea that once you ‘figure it out’, business gets easier. That confidence arrives, momentum stabilises, and the discomfort fades.

But in my experience, that’s not how it works.

Business doesn’t get easier, you just get better at dealing with the hard moments. You build resilience, develop self-trust, and learn how to regulate yourself when things wobble instead of spiralling or stopping.

And at the point when you're saying "I can't do this"... that usually means you're SO much closer than you think (you’re at the edge of a new level).

And every new level asks something different of you. New skills, new boundaries, a more-regulated nervous system, a stronger sense of identity…

The people who grow and continuously evolve are the ones who recognise doubt as part of the expansion, not a reason to quit.

So if things feel harder than you expected, take that as information (not judgement).

You might be much closer than you think.

Starbucks went from just coffee to practically a lifestyle brand.

Starbucks didn’t wake up one day and decide to sell everything. They started with coffee, then food, seasonal cups, rituals, playlists, reusable mugs, gifting moments, etc.

They didn’t jump categories. They expanded the experience. And that’s the part most personal brands miss.

Starbucks isn’t successful because it sells more things. It’s successful because everything it adds reinforces the same feeling (familiar, comforting, consistent, elevated but accessible).

You don’t go there just for caffeine, you go for how it makes you feel while you’re there.

Here’s the personal branding lesson: you can add offers, you can evolve your work, you can grow your business beyond one thing, but only if what you’re adding extends your core promise (not distracts from it).

This is where so many coaches go wrong.

They don’t expand and pivot too fast. They develop a new offer, start targeting a new audience, go in a completely new direction… and suddenly the brand feels scattered, confusing, and harder to trust (I’ll be the first to admit, I’m guilty of this too!)

Strong brands don’t reinvent themselves every six months. They build depth first, then widen the circle.

So before you add something new, ask yourself this: “does this deepen the experience I’m already known for? Or does it pull attention away from it?”

Don’t pivot. Expand with alignment. That’s how brands scale without losing their power.

The best mentors I’ve ever had created clarity (not dependency).

And they did it because they actually knew what they were talking about, and wanted me to evolve to a point where I wouldn’t need them anymore.

The best ones aren’t just ‘good communicators’.  They’ve lived the experiences they needed to live to be able to help others. They’ve both built and broken things along the way, and fixed what needed to be fixed. They’ve made mistakes that cost them time, money, energy, and confidence.

And instead of me needing to make all those same mistakes myself, I choose to learn from theirs instead. 

That’s the part most people miss when they decide mentorship isn’t “necessary”. What they fail to realise is that great mentorship is time compression. 

You’re not simply paying for an hour-long call. You’re instead learning from thousands of hours of experience (years of trial and error) distilled into a single conversation.

The best mentors will help you avoid the detours they already took. They see around corners you can’t see yet and spot patterns early because they’ve watched them play out before in their own lives.

And at the same time, they don’t take your power away or make you reliant on their opinion. They use their experience to sharpen your thinking, not replace it.

Instead of feeling dependent, you feel clearer. Instead of feeling smaller, you feel more capable. Instead of guessing, you move with conviction.

That’s when progress speeds up and you start to see the results you’ve been chasing. Because you’re working with better information (instead of just working harder).

And that’s the difference between mentorship that feels supportive in the moment…
and mentorship that actually changes your trajectory.
