I gave a presentation on how Conversation is the secret to ranking your website on ChatGPT.

Before we dig into how, here is why we care?
	•	ChatGPT influences human discovery and decision making… This is the same as how influencers sway your opinion.
	•	ChatGPT traffic converts better… A recent report shows traffic from ChatGPT answers converted 6x higher than organic Google Search visitors.
	•	ChatGPT can be easily manipulated now, like the early days of website meta tags.

How does Google search work now?

If we want to search for something on the internet, we will go to Google, type in “car dealership dubai”. This is a keyword driven search.

Google will go away and search for a match of those words in the database to serve you the websites where that keyword is found.

As a result humans have optimised its interaction with Google often giving less words due to it being superfluous to the end result.

How does ChatGPT Work?

Generative Ai is built in a way that mimics the human brain. This is called the Neural Network and is built using data from the Internet which is predominantly in English.

When we talk with a conversational dialogue. “Hey Chatgpt, can you tell me the nearest car dealership to me.” It will deduce the best answer to give you according to what it has learnt from the worlds’ internet.

But this is where ChatGPT is different, it will then try and narrow down that search criteria to be more relevant using longer form speech oriented conversation. “Can you tell me what kind of car you would like?” And you might respond “I’m looking for an SUV”.

Because ChatGPT wants to HELP the user.

What does help look like on Google?

If you search on Google for the “top 10 suv dealerships in dubai”, you’ll likely find a correlation between what ChatGPT recommends and Google recommends.

This content is what I call “Help Driven” content which is there to help, guide or answer questions for the reader.

This help driven content is almost always:
	•	Questions, How to, Comparisons and Guides. (In particular long tail keywords that focus on specifics)
	•	Example “I need to compare suv’s with sunroofs in Dubai”

The other quirk of ChatGPT compared to Google...

ChatGPT is trying to influence the end result by prompting you with questions, and those questions can be leading.

‘Ai suggests you’re looking for’ NOT ‘what humans think they’re looking for’.

When you are thinking about your content going forwards, ask yourself is this content like having a Conversation and is it Help Driven.

It’s going to be kicked off with ChatGPT needing to raise its revenue. It’s losing $127 million dollars per day and it wants to capitalise on its lead on Google.

This is the first part of my multipart series on - The Great Ecosystem

Part 1 of 5: ChatGPT is coming after Google by becoming your default Search Engine.

I’m setting up my new home in Dubai and I’m looking for a dishwasher and this dishwasher needs specific dimensions because of the space it needs to fit in. It’s not a standard size. 

Normally I would be on amazon trying to find a dishwasher, but as I go through, I read that there might be an ultra quick wash feature that could be useful so I include that in my search.

But this time was different, I went on to ChatGPT and gave it the size dimensions and my budget. It returned options and it gave me an opportunity to discuss why some dishwashers are better than others and highlighted some features such as an ultra quick wash. I ask why this would be important and it gave me the answers. I narrow my search and asked it to find the cheapest price from reputable suppliers.

If I had the opportunity to click buy there and then, I would have.

But the thing is, ChatGPT is doing this and this is why you should be excited about it. They are building a platform sticky enough to rival Google and Amazon combined.

Instant Checkout

Now you can discover products, compare options, and buy all inside ChatGPT, after releasing their new Instant Checkout feature.

OpenAi has partnered with Shopify and Etsy to make AI-powered shopping basically one click… without ever visiting a website. 

It will take payment using Stripe and is onboarding merchants using an Agentic Commerce Protocol, a standard to integrate OpenAi into its recommendation engine and charge a fee to the merchant per completed purchase.

Why does it matter to me? Because the merchants that integrate with OpenAi will be recommended first and at no additional marketing cost. A significant advantage when you realise that customers are 6x more likely to convert from a ChatGPT recommendation than a Google search. As I described in my previous article. Those who jump on this first will have outsized returns.

TikTok is already doing this with Social Commerce, another fascinating trend that is set to blow up in 2026. If you’ve seen Chinese commerce influencers you’ll know what I mean.

We are watching search, discovery, and purchase collapse into a single interface. That shifts power toward whoever owns the conversation layer, and forces brands to think about Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO).

‼️ Warning. Viral Ai, Clawdbot may steal your snacks (or your passwords) when you're not looking. 

Treat it like malware.

I’ve been using Clawdbot (now called Moltbot) this week and I get the viral hype, it really does feel like having an Ai personal assistant. 

Some of the things I've got it to do.

• Research topics online and deliver quick summaries with links
• Read and Draft emails, DMs, and posts in your voice
• Create morning briefings and help plan your day (calendar + priorities)
• Handle browser chores like filling forms, tracking orders, collecting info
• Organise files and turn PDFs/notes into clean docs and checklists
• Automate repetitive computer tasks and keep a simple log of what it did

Does this sound like your PA?

But: I keep seeing people run it on their main laptop and I want to be that person for a minute.

What you’re really giving it: the ability to act on your behalf, not just “chat.” It's an autonomous agent with access to all your sensitive data.

‼️ Core access to your computer
‼️ Browser control with all your logged-in sessions
‼️ File system read/write
‼️ Access to connected services (email, calendar, etc.)

The uncomfortable part: it can be tricked by what it reads.

A weird message, a sketchy PDF, or a bad webpage can nudge it into doing something you didn’t intend.

If you connect messaging apps: every random DM or group chat can become “input” to a system that can take actions for you.

No training wheels: it’s built for power users who want maximum capability, which is awesome… but it also means you have to be intentional.

How I’d use it safely:

- Run it on a separate device/account if possible (not the laptop with all your personal stuff)
- Keep it away from your most sensitive logins and files
- Be cautious about what you ask it to open or read
- Don’t connect it to every messaging app “just because you can”
- Start with minimal access, then expand only if needed

The tools are moving fast but people's safety habits haven’t caught up yet.

Is Zurich really the Silicon Valley of robotics? 

Well, if you look at their robotics ecosystem, it seems true! 

👀 SPOILER: Zurich robotics ecosystem is that BIG, that describing it I exceeded LinkedIn post standard length (some companies will be described in the comment section).

Zurich is a great place to start a robotics company because everything you need is close and well connected.

It has top engineering talent, mainly from ETH Zürich, one of the best robotics and AI universities in the world. 

Many successful robotics startups come directly from ETH research. Also, the presence of Disney Research and RAI Institute helps to be on the frontier of physical AI.

The city also has strong industry and customers nearby. Switzerland is home to global companies in robotics, manufacturing, and automation, such as ABB Robotics, which often work with startups as partners or early customers.

Zurich offers good access to funding, especially for deep-tech and robotics. Investors here are used to long development cycles and complex hardware products. 💰

Finally, Zurich is known for stability and quality of life. It is safe, well organized, and centrally located in Europe, making it easier to attract international talent and scale globally.

→ Duatic - develops advanced human-scale robotic arms and mobile manipulation systems.

→ RIVR - builds autonomous Physical AI-powered wheeled-legged robots for last-mile doorstep delivery and has raised about $22 M in seed funding.

→ Flexion Robotics - builds the autonomous AI “brain” and software stack for humanoid robots, and has raised about $50 M in funding.

→ FORGIS - develops AI-powered edge software that makes industrial machines and factory systems autonomous and intelligent, and has raised ~€3.8 M (~$4.5 M) in pre-seed funding.

→ Voliro - builds autonomous aerial robots for industrial inspection and maintenance and has raised ~$23 M in Series A funding.

→ Sevensense - built AI-powered 3D vision navigation tech for autonomous mobile robots and was acquired by ABB Robotics in January 2024.

Paris loves robots! 🫶🏼

... and of course, vice versa!

What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Paris?

Probably warm croissants and the Eiffel Tower glittering at night.

What if I tell you, that it should be robotics? 🤯

Paris is a great place to launch a robotics startup because it mixes world-class tech talent, big startup energy, and strong public support for deep tech.

First, Paris has excellent research and engineers, coming from places like Inria (a major research institute in robotics and AI) and top schools around Paris/Saclay. 

This matters because robotics startups often start from research and need smart people who can build “real” systems.

Second, Paris is one of Europe’s biggest startup hubs thanks to STATION F (one of the world’s largest startup campuses). It gives founders access to mentors, partners, and lots of investors, which makes it easier to meet the right people fast. 

Third, France is unusually strong in government-backed deep-tech funding through programs like French Tech 2030 and support from Bpifrance. 

Robotics takes time and money (prototypes, hardware, testing), so this kind of support is a big advantage. 

Here's the landscape of robotics companies in Paris:

→ Genesis AI is a physical-AI lab building generalist robots + robotics foundation models, and launched with $105M funding. 

→ Stanley Robotics builds robotic “valet parking” systems that autonomously move and park cars. 

→ UMA is building general-purpose mobile/humanoid robots for industrial and real-world tasks. 

→ LeRobot (Hugging Face) is an open-source robotics stack with datasets, and models to lower the barrier to robot learning, they also have Pollen Robotics in their portfolio.

→ Enchanted Tools builds friendly humanoid robots (e.g., Mirokaï) for service environments and raised ~$17M seed. 

→ Fuzzy Logic Robotics makes a platform to quickly program/deploy industrial robots and raised €2.5M seed. 

→ Inbolt builds real-time 3D vision guidance for industrial robotic arms and raised ~$16–17M Series A. 

→ Heex Technologies builds “smart data” software that captures only the most useful edge data to improve AI systems and raised €6M seed. 

→ Wandercraft builds advanced robotic exoskeletons for mobility/rehab (and humanoid robotics R&D) and has $75M total funding. 

→ SoftBank Robotics UK Ltd (EMEA HQ) develops and commercializes service robots like Pepper and NAO for customer interaction and education. 

→ Galam Robotics builds modular warehouse storage automation robots/systems and raised €10M - Series A. 

→ Exwayz builds GPS-free 3D localization / SLAM software for autonomous robots and raised €1M. 

→ phospho (YC W24) builds tools/software to easily connect, control, and train AI models on real robots (“brains for robots”).

European humanoid with big announcements! 🤯

You can now get Porsche-designed humanoid in pre-sale for €98k.

NEURA Robotics just opened pre-orders for its next-gen humanoid robots at CES 2026, making it one of the first Western companies to offer humanoids for direct online purchase.

For a fully refundable €100 deposit, you can reserve the flagship 4NE-1 Gen 3.5 at €98,000 or the smaller 4NE-1 Mini at €19,999.

The full-size 4NE-1, designed in collaboration with Studio F. A. Porsche, stands 1.8 meters tall, lifts up to 100 kg, and moves at 5 km/h. 

What's inside? First of all, NVIDIA's Thor T5000 processor, built specifically for AI and robotics.  

David Reger says first units ship in June 2026.

It might be that the 4NE-1 Mini is positioned as "the West's answer" to affordable humanoids, priced competitively with China's Unitree G1. 

At 132 cm and 36 kg, it packs the same cognitive AI as its bigger sibling into a frame suited for research, education, and light office tasks. It has 25 degrees of freedom, 3 kg payload capacity, and runs for about 2.5 hours on battery. Mini ships even sooner, in April 2026.

Bold move from NEURA to go direct-to-consumer this early. The humanoid race is heating up! 🔥

Ostrich-like insane robot that ‘rides the wind’! 💨

Researchers in China are experimenting with a different way to improve legged robot locomotion: adding rotors.

This prototype is called KOU-III, is a bipedal robot developed at Shandong University that uses quadrotor assistance to stabilize walking and jumping. 

Instead of aiming for full flying capability, the rotors are used as an auxiliary system to smooth motion, counter disturbances, and reduce impact forces during contact with the ground.

What’s notable is that the gains don’t come from complex control tricks. Even with relatively simple control strategies, the rotors significantly reduce pitch oscillations, improve walking stability, and help manage landings after jumps. 

In tests, the robot reached walking speeds around 1.1 m/s and achieved higher, more controlled jumps compared to its non-assisted configuration.

This is what open robotics actually looks like! 🔓

I was in Bordeaux, sitting inside Pollen Robotics, and had a chance to play around with their humanoid robot Reachy 2.

It’s expressive, modular, and can even bring you coffee, and of course runs Python or Rust.

I was talking with Reachy in 3 different languages, tele-operating it and manipulating kitchen stuff, and make it even mimic my gestures.

The best part is that there are no locked APIs, or hidden stuff, just an open platform that you can build upon.

The connection with Hugging Face makes it super easy to start, as the open source approach allows everyone to contribute, experiment and add their own things.

I already ordered his little brother Reachy Mini, let's see what a robotics rookie can do with that robot! 👀
