In 2010, I started my career in financial services.

Making phone calls for independent advisors in Austin, TX, I quickly found myself drawn to the work.

By 2014, I was a licensed financial advisor, learning the ropes at firms like Edward Jones, Merrill Lynch, and Charles Schwab.

Over the years, I helped people at every stage of life:

Those just starting out.
Those at the end of their journey, focused on legacy.

And everyone in between.

Through it all, I prayed.
Prayed for God to guide me toward the most purposeful work I could do.

Eventually, it became clear—
My biggest impact would be helping people prepare for, transition into, and live in retirement.

By creating secure, reliable plans, I could help people:
Feel confident.
Transition comfortably.
And focus on what matters most: faith, family, fitness, fun, and fulfillment.

That’s why I founded Retire With Swan.

•	Listen and understand a client/prospect needs regarding their financial picture.
•	Guide clients with objective advice in accumulating sufficient assets to live a fulfilling and comfortable retirement.
•	Monitor and review a client’s progress, and assist with a variety of retirement-related concerns.
•	Specialize in retirement income solutions, social security planning, IRA and 401(k) transition assistance, retirement plans for business owners
•	Teach clients how to properly invest funds and how to eliminate excessive debt.

Retirement Planner

BB&T

•	Make outbound calls to BB&T and BB&T Investments clients in order to set appointments for the Financial Consultant
•	Manage the Financial Consultant’s calendar to maximize appointment productivity while anticipating the time frame required for presentation 
•	Review client accounts and assist with management of multiple investment vehicles.
•	Clearly and concisely track and document notes in Client Focus with regards to each client contact’
•	Ability to self-motivate and adhere to call schedule with minimal supervision

Outbound Investment Sales Specialist

•	Establish and maintain an understanding of affluent assigned clients’ financial needs through frequent interaction and continuous us of the BB&T profiling model. 
•	Develop and maintain excellent working relationships to support all assigned Private Financial Advisors. 
•	Serve as a personal financial advisory resource for clients, attorneys and CPAs.

Wealth Solutions Advisor 

•	Prepare proposals and client presentations
•	Market insurance lines to appropriate departments
•	Order and process new business, renewals and changes to policies
•	Express customer education involving insurance

Insurance Marketing Agent 

Raised in a motivating household in Charlotte, NC, my mother and father taught me to help others in life will be rewarding in more ways than one. Tragically losing my mother at the age of 13, presented unpreparedness for my family. My father, a blue collared worker, gave his all to the best of his knowledge. As I became an adult I looked back and noticed what was out of place financially, which created more difficultly for my single parented father. Life insurance, college savings, a retirement plan, nor the dream of financial security did not exist. As a result, my life experiences created an appetite for financial literacy and helping others.   

After many years working in the corporate America financial services arena, I earned the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) designation. This particular designation gives me the opportunity to help clients achieve financial success by focusing on key areas of their life. I specialize in comprehensive financial planning for individuals, families, as well as retirement plans for small businesses. Understanding my childhood and early adulthood challenges, I am able to guide them to be better prepared for the expected and unexpected life events.

My belief is conversations regarding retirement should be had early in life, which enables me to customize a plan for clients that coincides with their unique situation. My overall goal is to help clients retire by age 50 or as soon as possible. 

Being a Retirement Planner for HG Tailored Financial Services is not just a career, it’s a platform for my passion. Helping clients achieve financial success is the best reward I can receive.
