I am on the CMO for She Breaks the Law. We are a global community of women in law who come together to connect, share, develop and learn. Together we break the law, for the better. 

She Breaks The Law is my very own start-up story. We have grown to over 4000 members in over 50 countries since we started in 2019.  I work as part of the Board and with our lead lawbreakers to keep serving and growing our community of women in law. Growing this pro bono community has been one of my most valuable commercial experiences and it is amazing to see lawbreakers come together to support each other on their career journeys. I do this pro bono, as a way to give back to legal, the industry that has been my home for so many years.

I joined NewLaw pioneer Halebury as their first marketing specialist and created the marketing function from the ground up, growing this as we scaled. I worked directly with two visionary co-founders to devise the business vision and implement the marketing strategy. I worked on all aspects of business development, from managing the sales pipeline to major pitches for flagship clients to establishing the CRM programme. I developed and delivered a digital and social strategy to grow brand awareness and worked with the consultant community, supporting on targeting strategies and training on social media. I also launched Halebury's new brand and identity around "Transforming Law" and supported them through a major acquisition to become an Elevate business. This was an incredible experience in growing a company from start-up - scale-up phase and through to exit, with friendships for life made along the way. It is where the burning desire to make change and leave a legacy in the world of legal truly started!

I had the best start to my legal marketing career working for Eversheds, now Eversheds Sutherland, a firm which truly tried to innovate before it became "a thing." I held a role with a broad remit, managing business development and marketing activity across Eversheds International and supporting the growth of the firm globally. The firm grew from having just five offices outside the UK to 37 offices outside the UK during the time I worked there.

I worked with senior partners across Eversheds International to plan, implement and deliver business and marketing plans in line with the strategy; led on high value (£1million plus) cross border, cross practice group pitches; coached partners for client pitches; developed and delivered marketing campaigns which included the full range of marketing activity from events, PR and communications, design and web; developed best practice for business development and marketing initiatives and rolled out across the international network; played a key strategic role in the formation and development of the emerging market business groups including the China Business Group, India Group, and the Japan Business Group; led on targeting and cross-selling initiatives to increase sales and client growth across Eversheds International; managed the rebranding and launches of new member firms; line managed the team and coached members of the wider international marketing group.
