Three hours of rehearsal. Months of preparation.
A panel I cared deeply about moderating.

And yet, due to circumstances beyond my control, I was unable to access the StreamYard studio and moderate the panel.

It was a difficult moment, especially after investing so much time shaping the flow of the conversation and working closely with the speakers. 

But I had to step back, breathe, and watch the session live on LinkedIn instead. And I’m genuinely proud of what the panelists delivered.

Margarida Romero and Iana Galai showed up with depth, generosity, and clarity. Their insights on AI, creativity, microlearning, and the human side of innovation were powerful, and I’m grateful that the conversation still reached the global audience it was meant for.

And thank you,Ibironke O Semowo, for stepping in and moderating so professionally. You handled it with such grace, and I’m truly grateful.

Sometimes, the work still speaks even when we are not on the stage we prepared for. Sometimes, leadership looks like allowing a moment to unfold without you, even when you had hoped to be at the center of it.

Thank you to everyone who expected to see me moderating. Thank you for checking in. And thank you again to the speakers for honouring the moment with such excellence.

𝗜 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻’𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽.
Not partial funding. Not a grant. Nothing.
I funded myself — 100%.

For years, I applied for scholarships.
Waited. Hoped. Prayed.

Each time, the answer was “not this time.” 

I thought funding was the green light I needed before pursuing my dream. But one day, I realized… the waiting was costing me more than the money ever could.

I was already working hard, running a business, earning decently. So I made a decision to stop waiting for someone to hand me an opportunity and start building the one I wanted.

I quit my job.

I found a program in France I could afford.
Took a loan to cover what I couldn’t.

And moved.

It hasn’t been easy (not one bit).
But it’s been worth it.

I’ve completed my first year of my master’s degree and I’m on track to finish strong. Maybe I’ll tell this story again when I graduate. 

But today, I just want to say this: If you’re waiting for a scholarship, I truly wish you get it. It makes the journey much lighter.

But if you already have the means or someone who can support you, don’t let waiting hold your life hostage.

Today, I’m shining the light on someone I’ve admired for as long as I can remember—my BIG BROTHER, Eromonsele Imomon.

Growing up, I watched him from a distance the way younger siblings often do. I studied how he moved, how he handled challenges, how he built things that looked impossible from the outside. 

I tried to follow his footsteps quietly, hoping that if I paid close enough attention, I’d understand the magic behind his consistency.

But these last few months, working closely with him on a project, I realised something surprising: everything I thought he was… he is at least 10X more.

His loyalty is unshakeable.
His generosity isn’t loud, but it’s steady.
His charisma pulls people in & makes them feel seen.

Eromonsele’s ability to carry people along, no matter how complex the mission, is a masterclass on its own.

And his protective nature? 
Fierce in the best way possible.

I’ve always known he loves me, supports me, fights for me. 

But seeing how he balances it all, husband, father of two brilliant girls (of which I proudly serve as a godmother for one of them), leader, builder, visionary, has given me a deeper respect for him. 

People sometimes ask how I juggle many things at once. The truth is, I simply learned from someone who does it with grace, clarity, and a sense of purpose that humbles you.

So today, I just want to say thank you to him. 

For who he is. For who he continues to be. 
For the example he sets,without ever announcing it.
