🎵 I wish  #NFTs existed 10 - 15 years ago.

I have practically been a music nerd for all my life. 

I used to play in various bands and as a solo artist as well as worked for record labels, organized festivals & managed up and coming artists.

I consider this experience very precious and am thankful for the opportunities I received.

I got to play in Los Angeles on Sunset Boulevard and toured the entire US.

Ranked up over half a million plays on Myspace (Yes, Myspace did exist back then)

Got featured in the biggest Rock/ Metal magazine in China.

And was on German TV.

Why am I telling you this?

It sounds like that could pay the bills right?

It didn't. AT ALL. It was a +- business.

Independent artists without much representation have it hard. 

Music piracy did not help at the beginning of the century.

And the model of streaming pays independent artists unfairly.

Along came COVID and seriously threatened live music and musicians.

Music NFTs taking off (in the next few years) feels like a resurrection for the music industry to me.
 
🎸 For independent artists NFTs could provide an opportunity to connect with fans in unique ways.

NFTs are not a get-rich-quick scheme, it needs work, but it could enable artists to make a better living than now.

You don't need millions of streams on Spotify, but maybe only a few hundred devoted fans that invest in your journey and see you grow.

💿 Record labels, publishing agencies & more can use NFTs to offer new experiences to music lovers.
At the same time creating new income streams could also mean that more investments go into up and coming artists long-term.

It puts a little bit of the power back into the hands of the music industry.

I've seen artists disappear over the years because they ran out of fuel at some point (financial wise).

Wouldn't it be great to experience live music and at the same time know that the artists performing can provide for themselves and their family?

His journey would begin in the mid-90’s, with an A&R management role for his best friend, Snoop Dogg’s Protege, Jamarr “Badazz” Stamps, from the LBC Crew. Badazz, known for his infamous verse on Tupac’s legendary song, “Krazy”  off of Tupac’s last album, Makaveli, that was certified 4x’s Platinum.

Being heavily involved within the music scene led Frank Nitty to his next calling, breaking down color barriers when division within the Black & Brown Hip-Hop community was at an all time high. A natural born leader laser-focused on his goal, the hard work paid off - by being responsible for merging 90% of the mainstream features you hear between Black & Brown artists on songs together between 2000-2009. 

He’s worked with Legendary artists such as: Snoop Dogg, WC, Mack10, CrookedI, RBX, Fat Joe, Kurupt, E-40, Too Short, MC Ren, Mc Eiht, Jayo Felony, Nipsey Hussle, Spice One, Kokane, Brotha Lynch Hung, Lady of Rage, Sylk-E Fine, Suga Free, Kam, Twista, Layzie Bone, Bizzy Bone & the list goes on.
