My love of great food and desire to eat plant-based comfort food lead me to create Pure Grit BBQ. I was in Texas at SXSW and wanted to enjoy BBQ with my friends and colleagues. Sadly there were few veg options. Even the beans had pork in them!  As I marketer I figured perhaps I could come up with my own brand so that is was my colleague Jenny Mauric and I did. No better way to understand the restaurant business than opening your own! 

Pure Grit BBQ is rooted in flavor and delivering a unique culinary experience rooted in traditional classic BBQ. This fast casual concept happens to be plant-based and 100% delicious. We call it Everyday Everybody BBQ. #eatyourveggies

We recruited some of the best chefs and pitmasters to help bring PG to life, serving the NYC community since May, 2022. We partnered with Hungry House May of 2023 to help operationalize and refine the concept for growth. We have our proof of concept and have learned what it takes to not only survive but thrive in the current market. New Yorkers are tough, and with so many culinary choices, it is important to continually improve , listen and learn. We have proven through our first location at 36 Lexington Ave in Gramercy that our guests love our food and we will continue to strive everyday to be better than the day before.

We proudly returned to the Barclays Center in the Brooklyn Market for the second straight season for home Nets games. We are growing. Partner with us.
