1. Net Profit Margin = (Net Income ÷ Total Revenue) × 100

2.Gross Profit Margin = (Gross Profit ÷ Total Revenue) × 100

3. Quick Ratio = (Cash + Short-Term Investments + Receivables) ÷ Current Liabilities

4. Operating Profit Margin = (Operating Profit ÷ Total Revenue) × 100

5. Return on Equity (ROE) = Net Income ÷ Average Shareholders' Equity

6. Cash Conversion Cycle = Days of Inventory on Hand + Days Sales Outstanding - Days Payables Outstanding

7. P/E Ratio = Market Price Per Share ÷ Earnings Per Share (EPS)

After so long, he stepped down as the CEO of Berkshire Hathaway.

I have collected 95 lessons from the 95-year-old legend.

Here they are:

"The most important investment you can make is in yourself. Nobody can take away what you've got in your head, and everybody has potential they haven't used yet." 

Knowledge will bring you success and nobody can tax it.

"Time is the friend of the wonderful business, the enemy of the mediocre." 

Great companies with strong moats compound wealth exponentially over decades, while weak businesses deteriorate, even if they are "undervalued."

"I insist on a lot of time being spent, almost every day, to just sit and think. That is very uncommon in American business. I read and think. So I do more reading and thinking, and make less impulse decisions than most people in business."

In these days of distraction (will you read this whole article?), reading and thinking is even more of a competitive advantage than it has ever been.

And I know, because what I'm about to share changed mine.

I started from scratch. With nothing.

For my business, I had no examples to follow, no mentors, and no business education.

I'm the first in my extended family with my own business. No friends or even acquaintances of my parents had a business.

I never followed a course on how to start a business.

I studied languages and never had a minute of training in business, economy or finance.

And still, here I am, with my own business writing about the stock market.

How did I do it?

In contrast to what I said, nobody can do it on their own. You need examples. If you don't have them around you, you can read your way out of your situation.

And that's what I did.

I read everything I could. It was more valuable than an MBA. 

I know this has become cliché to say. But think about it. In an MBA, you can't learn from the best in the world. You only have your teachers and probably, they are not the best in the world.

But you can learn from the best through books. I read hundreds, but I distilled them to a list of the 100 best for you.

That means there may be great books that didn't make the list. This is really my personal selection, not a generic list.

These 100 books (and many more) have shaped who I am today.

They range from mindset to psychology, strategic thinking, negotiation, ideas to business insights, biographies, marketing, copywriting, and much more. 

If you apply even 2% of what you learn in these 100 books, your life could change completely.

Too many people still believe that investing is dangerous.

If you take an appropriate time frame (10 years+), it's the opposite: NOT investing is dangerous.

Saving in a savings account for your children is robbing them of future wealth.

Suppose you start investing when they are born, and they don't touch the money until they are 30. At 30, they buy a house.

With $500/month, they will be millionaires. 

To make them millionaires with $500/month, they will have to wait for 160 years.

Do you only have $50/month? That's still $100K you can give them.
With a savings account? $21.3K, 78.7% less.
