The real secret to getting stronger isn’t switching your workouts every week. It’s repeating them.

I can’t tell you how many women are shocked when I have them follow the same workouts for 8 to 12 weeks.

They expect variety. They expect constant change.
Because somewhere along the way, we were told we need to “confuse our muscles” to see results.

But that could not be further from the truth.

One of my clients said this last month:
“I thought I’d get bored doing the same thing… but for the first time in years, I’m lifting heavier and actually seeing definition.”

• Progressively increasing weight, reps, or tempo is what builds lean muscle, not random workouts every week.

P.S. I took quite the hiatus from heavy lifting last year. My 1RM for a conventional deadlift is 205 pounds, so I acknowledge I already have a foundation. But training the deadlift week after week recently allowed me to increase my weight by 35 pounds. This graph doesn’t show my repetitions, but I can now rep out 175-pound deadlifts like it’s nothing. Next up is chasing 205 again (with my belt for lower back safety). The point is… progress happens when you have consistency and repeatability.

Here are the biggest myths your survey responses exposed:

👉 Myth 1: “I am eating healthy… so why do I feel awful?”
Because most women are eating “healthy” foods that leave them under-fueled, low protein, and on a blood sugar rollercoaster. That alone triggers cravings, fatigue, inflammation, and weight gain.

👉 Myth 2: “I just need more discipline.”
You do not have a discipline issue. You have an under-recovery issue. When your stress, sleep, and hormones are off, no plan will ever feel sustainable.

👉 Myth 3: “Maybe this is just my new normal.”
So many women said they felt stuck with bloating, brain fog, no energy, and stubborn weight… and assumed it was age or bad luck. None of that is normal. It is a sign your routine is not aligned with your hormones.

This past weekend, I completed my first singles HYROX event (my third one this year!)

The first time, I competed in mixed doubles with my brother (we had to use men’s weights).
The second time, I did women’s doubles with a friend.
This time? I went solo — full women’s weights, every rep on my own.

Here’s how my times stacked up:

• Mixed doubles: 92 minutes
• Women’s doubles: 75 minutes
• Singles: 89 minutes

That means in 89 minutes, I completed:

• 5 miles of running
• 1000m on the SkiErg
• 1000m of rowing
• 50m sled push with 225 pounds
• 50m sled pull with 135 pounds
• 80m burpee broad jumps
• 200m farmers carry with 35-pound kettlebells
• 100m sandbag lunges with 22 pounds
• 100 wall balls with a 10-pound ball

And I did it all by myself 😄

That’s something I’m really proud of.

Next goal? Sub-80 minutes. Then 70. Then 60.
Every second shaved off represents better endurance, stronger lungs, and a more resilient mindset.
