The firm focuses on representing clients in federal and state criminal investigations, charges, and appellate or post-conviction matters. The firm handles individuals under investigation and facing Grand Jury subpoenas, along with assisting businesses under criminal and administrative investigation.   The firm also handles civil litigation.

I began my career at Legal Aid of Western Missouri and later moved to the Missouri State Public Defenders Trial Office in Kansas City.  I also worked as a state prosecutor and Special Assistant United States Attorney before entering private practice where I worked as an Associate Attorney for two firms before opening my own firm.

With over 25 years of experience in the legal field, I am a seasoned criminal and civil litigator.

I am also a passionate writer and educator, who shares my insights and advice on how lawyers and law students can navigate the legal job market, grow their network, and advance their careers. I have published a book and several articles on these topics, and I enjoy mentoring and coaching aspiring and practicing lawyers. My mission is to help lawyers and law students find their purpose, passion, and potential in the legal profession.
