To understand the movement of The Sales Rebellion, first you need to understand why I started it and the community it has evolved in to.

It all starts with my Dad, a sales pro for over 38 years. 

His legacy is one of integrity, perseverance, and service to others is unmatched by most people who have enjoyed working in our great profession.

In a nutshell: I spent my life in the shadow of one of the greatest men to ever walk this earth and his ability to sell also fueled his success in LIFE.

What it has to do with me?

I realized my initial calling in the technology world (selling copiers, managed IT and software) through his business and also just how much fun I could have being in a sales role.

You might have heard rumors of me... back when they called me, The Copier Warrior.

From 2007 until 2017 I worked for the same company - my Father's firm was acquired in 2012 and I stuck around until 2017, at which point I moved on from the company I had represented for my entire career in sales. 

I made this decision after my Dad’s passing (see my shared articles for the 'saddest story I have ever told' if you want to know more).

I stayed in the copier industry for 2 more years before launching my Rebellion.

Yes, that's right in 2019, The Sales Rebellion was born.

My conquest of changing the game has expanded beyond my role as an individual contributor and a VP of sales in the technology space. 

Now I am teaching the masses how to be more creative, build a lasting legacy, be a servant leader and achieve more in their sales career.

No longer will the mediocre rule throughout our profession.

In this role, I manage approximately 100 concurrent projects – analyzing plans and specifications to create quotes for customers to proceed through the manufacturing process – and ensuring high-level sales and management services. I manage territories from Corpus Christi to San Antonio, El Paso, and Brownsville, interpreting technical, financial, operating, and maintenance documents to communicate crucial information on all ParkUSA wastewater concrete products.

➥ Imparts continual responsiveness to customers, interacting with customers and engineering stakeholders to raise customer confidence and successfully onboard former customers by demonstrating value through service, timeliness, and transparency about product challenges.

➥ Gained a wealth of knowledge of manufacturing and production processes as the company transitions to an MRP system in SAP.

Here, I utilized my experience in running track surfacing to successfully generate more customers. I executed various account management tasks, researching potential clients, facilitating discovery with existing customers to determine opportunities for previously unfulfilled product requirements, attending tradeshows, and handling order management, processing, and forecasting. Notably, I handled the following product lines – Playground Surfacing, Hot and Cold Cast Urethane, and Binders and Glues – and leveraged current customers’ new product requests to expand sales and upsell to new and existing customers.

➥ Researched and analyzed territories for three verticals, generating $750K from onboarding new customers.

➥ Collaborates with cross-functional internal teams to develop new ideas and refine products.

Account Manager Western US & Canada

GEZOLAN

As Sales Executive, I applied critical knowledge of operations, effectively managed accounts, and presented the new plant to customers on behalf of the company. I learned the complicated intricacies of producing EPDM rubber, embracing the challenges of a new facility to identify areas of opportunity. I confidently attended trade shows and conferences as the face of the company to generate sales.

➥ Owned relationships with a large territory throughout the U.S. and Canada, traveling throughout North America to create relationships with new clients and maintain relationships with existing clients. Successfully took on the challenge of introducing the new facility to onboard customers.

➥ Created opportunities to increase sales by analyzing customer needs and acting as a subject matter expert, thoroughly explaining products and services to close sales.

➥ Facilitated an internal class, teaching the Production and Sales Team about standard track surfacing installation to improve team collaboration and support.

Sales Executive

Renegade Sports Construction

Here I was asked to lead the office, sales and marketing for upstart company. Researched and brought in Accounting Software, set up banking and financials. Created new sales processes, trade show and event coordination, designing new promotional product and creation of new web page. Payroll, business and sales correspondence and contract handling along with managing office staff. Worked with President and Vice Presidents to oversee and procure location and brought new modular office buildings in to our location.

➥ Successfully addressed engineers and architects and represented the new company in order to be specified on their projects. 

➥ Coordinated bids, ensuring timely delivery to generate winning bids and respective revenue then worked with customers to supply all needed bid documentation after the win.

Sales and Marketing Manager

Atlas Tracks, Inc

I earned three promotions, from Executive Assistant (2003 to 2006) to Operations Supervisor (2006 to 2012) to Sales Coordinator (2012 to 2013), exemplifying exceptional coordination abilities to successfully handle and compile bids. I was responsible for researching, compiling, and preparing sales reports for the Western U.S. Sales staff. Additionally, I planned, organized, and coordinated field services and the shipping and receipt of materials for 13 crews across the Western U.S.

➥ Successfully handled bid coordination for 5 sales staff in the western U.S., addressing questions on all bids from respective staff and customers and handling documentation for specific jobs.

➥ Remained tenacious about bids, ensuring timely delivery to generate winning bids and respective revenue.

Sales Coordinator

Here, I assisted the Vice President of Operations in managing 13 crews amid extremely busy operations, ensuring the efficiency of the crews, inventory, and materials. I worked with each crew on inventory management, ensuring the timely shipment of materials to every job site and creating lowest inventory variance in company history. Notably, I imparted high-level organization skills, handling the rental equipment and all travel arrangements. 

➥ Worked closely with the Owner/CEO on special projects and assigned Project Manager roles, including a $1.3M project in Seattle. Due to notetaking during project management meetings for this project, crafted a three-page rebuttal to change Atlas’ initial failed grade to approval, acquiring more projects in Seattle.

➥ Utilized AEPA co-op information to gain GSA and CMAS contracts for the company, creating many new business opportunities in California without needing to go out to bid.

➥ I am a self-starting, dynamic management professional with over 20 years of experience in diverse industries. I demonstrated the ability to effectively manage concurrent projects and teams, ensuring well-organized material logistics and, subsequently, the lowest inventory variance results. I effectively manage accounts and projects and impart transparency and tact to nurture trust and productivity among teams and customers.

➥ As a natural leader, I take the initiative to understand systems and complex processes, remaining committed to removing barriers to success. As a result, I’ve developed and sustained a proven reputation for fostering collaboration and building fruitful internal and external relationships to resolve challenges.
