Because for many people, 2025 wasn’t straightforward.
 The job market was unpredictable.

 Setbacks came more often than expected.
 And staying positive sometimes felt like its own full‑time job.

One truth stood out:
Progress isn’t always loud.
 It isn’t always linear.
 And it certainly isn’t always comfortable.

Nashua Mobile

Nashua Mobile was one of South Africa's largest independent cellular solutions providers, renowned for offering customers the choice of three different networks. The company was deeply entrenched in South Africa and was part of Nashua, a brand known for its office automation services. Nashua Mobile and Reunert announced it would sell subscribers back to MTN and Vodacom.

I ran the retail channel for all company-owned retail outlets. This included a direct reporting staff complement of 60 people coupled with the quality control function, where I managed a further two people. 

My other duties included:

🎯Set and managed sales budgets

As a South African-born entrepreneur now living in the UK, I’ve spent over two decades in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector. For the past 17 years, I’ve been leading Apex BI as its CEO, where we help businesses simplify the way they manage ICT data. By turning data into stories and using intelligent software solutions, we free up our clients to focus on what matters to their business.

My career has allowed me to explore various roles, from consulting and advisory work to managing teams and retail operations. I’ve been exposed to multiple technology categories, including telecoms, mobile, IoT, and unified communications. This diverse experience has allowed me to shape my approach to leadership and business strategy.

At Apex BI, I’ve helped guide the development of Clarity™, our flagship Technology Expense Management Platform. But we didn’t stop there. We’ve also created Engage, a Customer Engagement Platform that redefines how businesses connect with clients, and CodeBricks™, an innovative Low Code Software Development Platform that empowers companies to build solutions faster and more efficiently.

Running a tech business is exciting, with endless possibilities for innovation and growth. I am motivated by the thrill of discovering new product ideas, finding better ways to serve customers, and seizing business opportunities. But as anyone who’s led a business knows, finding balance is essential. I do this through regular exercise, reading, and long walks, which help me stay grounded.

Even though I’m in the UK, the African bush still calls to me and is my haven. For me, it’s the most grounding place on earth and a reminder of how raw and simplistic life can be. It’s also a great place where everyday tech is not welcome, so I take every single opportunity I can to get barefoot in the bush under the African sun.

My future plans include donating my time and efforts toward conserving that natural beauty. 

But for now, when I’m not working, you’ll find me watching rugby and keeping active by participating in any form of sport and fitness, trying to be a positive example for my family.
