Blue Diamond Garden Centres

Responsible for planning and selecting a range of products for the the Blue Diamond Group. Sourcing new merchandise and reviewing existing ranges to ensure products remain competitive and offer a point of difference from competitors. 

Key Responsibilities:
-Analysing consumer buying patterns and predicting future trends; 
-Reviewing performance indicators;
-Managing plans for stock levels;
-Reacting to changes in demand;
-Reacting to changes in logistics;
-Meeting suppliers and negotiating terms of contract;
-New Product Development traveling to the Far East to source new suppliers and products for the UK Retail Market
-Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers for future products;
-Liaising with other departments within Blue Diamond to ensure projects are completed;
-Attending trade fairs, in the UK and Overseas (Europe/Far East), to select and assemble a new ranges of products;
-Presenting new ranges to MD and senior stakeholders;
-Liaising with shop personnel to ensure product/collection supply meets demand;
-Seeking merchandise feedback from customers

Part of the Legal Conveyancing sales and service team. Responsible for following up on leads generated by Your Move/Reeds Rains. My task was to contact any member of the public who had their property currently on the market with their chosen estate agency and to offer them a designated law firm to execute a sale or purchase of a property. I exceeded my KPIs by actively tailoring each instruction with relevant USP’s for that individual, raising the order and executing this too completion with the chosen firm. 

Key Responsibilities:  	
- Opening new instructions for buyers and sellers   
- Raising the order on internal system and executing the instruction for the solicitors to work to                   
- Monitoring the order on system to completion	    - Dealing with queries and questions for buyers & sellers
- Communicating with buyers/sellers/law firms and estate agency relaying the stages of sale in line with SLA’s
- Inputting all data into Quote Management System *FSA REGULATED – Outlook, Excel

Initially a part time role to fund myself through college and university. Over time I was entrusted with further responsibilities, which led to running the Customer Service Department, reporting directly to the duty and/or branch manager.

Key Responsibilities:
- Using Waitrose’s goods ordering system to raise orders for six departments
- Raising orders that reflect goods in demand and seasonal trends
- Ensuring back room stock and constant supply in line with demand, reducing wastage
- Liaising with delivery department to make sure goods in were in line with delivery orders
- Using in house system to monitor current goods on floor, back stock and forecasted demand
- Managing up to 20 staff on six sections, recording sales and dealing with problems 
- Training the section (general, specialized departments)
- Opening and Closing sections
