After the merger of TORA with the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), I seized the opportunity to apply for the position of C# Full Stack Engineer (& Team Lead Cluj-Napoca) at AlphaDesk. AlphaDesk is a fintech application specializing in Order Management System (OMS) & Portfolio Management System (PMS), where I contribute to delivering innovative solutions at the intersection of finance and technology. I am still in charge of coordinating student related activities at TORA, now part of LSEG.

Working in a financial services company, as a software engineer in a back end team. I worked in a team that is focused on retrieving market data from different vendors, processes and offers it to other internal teams or external clients. The focus was mostly on data latency and data correctness. While being in this team I mentored 2 colleagues. Starting with June 2023, I switched to another team that is focused with the main flow of the order and execution management system. Tech stack: Java, Bash, Spring, React (JavaScript), AWS, K8s, MySQL, FIX, Jaeger (Open Telemetry), Grafana, Prometheus.

Since July 2020, I progressively expanded my involvement in various company projects, particularly in the ones that highlight my management skills: I was a trainer within the Internship where I actively contributed to curriculum development, delivered lectures, monitored student progress, and addressed their questions and inquiries on implementation. In addition to my training responsibilities, I played a pivotal role in the evaluation process for prospective interns. This involved creating problem specifications on the online evaluation platform, working on the automation of the evaluation system and conducting interviews.

TORA has established a collaborative partnership with Babes-Bolyai University from Cluj-Napoca, offering an optional course for students pursuing a BSc in Computer Science, titled "Principles of Performance Oriented Coding." In 2022, I further expanded my involvement in this endeavor, leveraging my prior experience in lecturing at the university.

I was assigned to a mixed team, with CAD engineers as well as software engineers to work on changing current CAD drawing archiving format to a new one, that is more suitable for long-term preservation of the technical drawings. This project implied both research and development. More information about the project can be found in the attached report.
