Revamp company’s best-selling Electronic Healthcare Record-Practice Management solution for potential growth using the latest Microsoft technologies (ASP.NET MVC 4 Web API, WCF, WPF).The service layer is transformed into WCF Web API layer which can be easily integrated with WPF client, web browser client and mobile clients. Combination of SQL 2008 and MongoDB are used in the database backend. Windows client is implemented using Microsoft Prism, WPF and Telerik WPF Controls. Use SMART on FHIR API to integrate legacy EHR systems (EPIC & AllScripts) to Practice management frontend.

Alorica is a customer service outsourcing provider firm that provides call center services and 3PL Service for vendors and retailers, including Costco, SamsClub, Vizio, FoxConn, AT&T, Sony and HP.

•	HP WMS 
Developing a web-based 3PL Warehouse Management System for Alorica’s warehouse and logistic business unit to provide logistics services for HP. Microsoft ASP.NET MVC3 with Razor views, HTML5, CCS3, AJAX, JSON and JQuery are used to implement the web-based UI presentation layer. WPF is used to implement the order-pick-fulfillment window application. Entity Framework 4.0 and various design patterns are used to implement the data access layer. MS SQL 2008 is used in the backend. REST web service API is used in the service layer to expose all business services to web clients and smart clients. MS SQL 2008 Reporting Services and MS SharePoint 2010 are used to implement the reporting module.

•	Costco Concierge Service CRM 
Developed a web-based CRM application for Costco Concierge Service center using ASP.NET 2.0, AJAX, SQL 2005, Web Services, windows services and SQL 2005 Reporting Services. Also, developed a service integration gateway that allows customer service agents to book service appointments and order parts for customers from service partners and part providers automatically.

•	Alorica Enterprise Web Services API
Developed a credit card payment gateway web service using WCF REST, PayPal Payflow Pro, C# and SQL 2005. Data encryption is implemented for credit card data. Also, implemented an Address validation web service using USPS Web Service APIs.

•	Alorica Enterprise Email and Chat Application
Developed a web-based Email and Chat application using ASP.NET 3.5, AJAX, C#, LINQ and SQL 2008. This application is used by agents in Alorica call centers to communicate with customers to resolve issues via Chat and email.

My name is Giovanni, but most people call me Gio. I'm a Caribbean Dutch guy living in Dubai, a DeFi guy working in TradFi, and a Harvard Business School (GMP21) alum. 

Being authentic with contrarian takes and a healthy dose of humor, has earned me a Top 5 creator ranking for Fintech & Crypto in the UAE and the Top 100 list worldwide.

Currently, I'm serving as the Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer for a medium-sized bank in Dubai, where I co-founded CBIx - the Corporate VC arm and the bank's Innovation subsidiary.

Outside my bank role, I serve on the Board of two AI startups, the advisory board of a PR firm, and the Steering Board of Tumar, a fund between the World Bank and the Government of Kazakhstan. I'm also a partner and mentor to Ascend - the world's first-ever RWA accelerator with Plume, and a mentor to the Sui Foundation global accelerator.

I've worked in an advisory capacity to different governments, where I've brokered bilateral trade agreements and partnerships, as well as contributed to a UN resolution (79/322).

I'm extremely bullish on AI and blockchain, and a strong advocate of an integrated, hybrid model of current & emerging tech, and on-chain & off-chain capabilities.

One thing has become incredibly clear to me over the years: I strongly prefer (re)building, growing or transforming over administrating and maintaining (I tried, it’s just not for me). I love working on things that I’m passionate about, with great people I can look up to, who share a natural curiosity towards learning and trying new things.
