A lot of people quit their corporate job and suddenly think they can give life advice.
 
But if you want to guide people,  
you need real life behind you,

At 26, I was the youngest CFO in the room.  
No seniority.  No title to hide behind.

Shrink so people would “trust” me first:

Or show up as I really am :

Last month, I spoke with the CEO of an NGO raising $20M in his second round.

We were discussing strategy. 
The several innovative ways to raise the funds faster.  
Bigger players. 
Bigger conversations.  
Bigger leverage.

And he agreed the ideas were smart.  
He wanted to use them.
But he wasn’t doing it.

Why?

Not to be dramatic,
but to force total focus forward.

not eliminating risk,
but learning to lead through it.

And to do that, you need skills most performance-driven people never learn:
 
→ 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 (so you know what you actually feel)  
→ 𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 (so you can say it clearly)  
→ 𝘃𝘂𝗹𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 (so you stop hiding behind logic)  
→ 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 (so partnership matters more than being right)
 
It’s not easy.  
But it’s the only way love becomes real,  
not logical.

2 weeks ago, a CEO who’d been stuck on one decision for months made it in minutes — once we uncovered the real block he couldn’t see.
